Of all the things that they could update.....

They're actually updating the f*cking score.

  1. 1. Does an update to the score excite you/ fill your heart with joy?

    • Yes
    • No
    • Please use Dan Houser's bald f*cking head as a death ray on me already.
  2. 2. Why are they updating the score and not releasing the damn heists already?

    • Rockstar are incompetent f*cktards.
    • Dan Houser's bald f*cking head blinded every single Rockstar employee.
    • Cash cards.
    • They forgot.
    • In a few weeks or so.
    • They haven't found a way to make heists boring yet.
  3. 3. Do you actually listen to/ take notice of/ enjoy the score during games?

    • The f*ck is a score?
    • Yes I notice it, but I don't like it.
    • Yes. That sh*t dope.
    • There's a score during game modes?
    • No. I listen to my own music.

Yes that's right. In a game that freezes your console every 20 minutes. In a game that really has precious little to do besides races, deathmatches and freemode griefing. In a game that is lost in the abyss of cash cards, tank griefers who you can no longer snipe and garage killers who roam free and without fear. In a game where the promised heists remain little more than a fantasy 4 months into the new year, Rockstar Games, in their infinite wisdom, feel it necessary to add some new instrumental music to entertain us while we enjoy the abundant selection of game modes that they have provided for us (all 4 of them :rah: ).

Here is a poll to see what you, the community feels about all of this.

Aaaaand... GO.

Edit: Damn title character limit. Moderators, please change the title to; "Of all the things that they could update..."

Wait, just score like that mood music on missions not songs on the radio? If so screw that, that music was half the reason I turn the music volume all the way down.

Yes.

They haven't found a way to make heists boring yet.

The f*ck is a score?

In all honestly I don't give a f*ck anymore.

If they wanna update scores rather than releasing heists, or whatever, so be it.

But if they keep this on, adios GTAO it's time to move on to other games and check back now and then.

One of my favorite things about GTA V is the music score. Still after almost a year of playing, I manage to get goosebumps when an unexpected pursuit followed by an intense police shootout is narrated by a slowly intensifying musical score. Im glad they are adding more musical scores. I know its not heists, but that doesnt make it any less awesome to have.

I was wondering what this big update my xbox was downloading this morning.

That was an Xbox update not a GTA V update.

New music.. Hell why not? Dafuq does that have to do with heists?

You do know the guy behind the music are not the same guys behind other content?

Some people don't know how to enjoy the missions and could care less about music.

Me.. i love it.

Friendly Fire, Cops, Weather, Time, etc. settings.

In short, delete Online and copy IVs MP.

Btw.. R said heists come together with CC and Beach bum ~2 weeks after the online release. Now we sit here with beach bum and not even the half of content creator.

Heists will come in months/years and they will dissappoint you so hard.

I have to agree with deffpony. Besides, I thought they only announced it, saying new dynamic scores would be added next month.

But i dont want IV. I played it for yearsm I want a perfect MP (..likr IV had) for V and finally a PC port. I hate playing it on my PS3. Graphic settings are bad and FPS are low.

having a fairly (very) expensive KEF KHT surround sound system, the one thing I personally want is the ability to turn the mission music off, I don't want or need it, I just want to be able to hear the ambient sounds of the game environment, "that's the reason I turn the radio off" on missions, but R* in their infinite stupidity replace it with ambient music, now the smartarses of the forum will point out that I can turn the music off in the main settings, but that also kills the ambient music within the game, things like the thump thump sound as Mr Sentinel XS guy approaches or going to the strip club and watching them dance to the sound of silence, the menu system needs the option to turn Ambient Mission Music off.

If this game ever comes to PC, the first thing I'll be doing is replacing all the mission music files with blank dummy audio files.

as for R* working on and adding new music, that's fine by me for the people who actually want it, as long as they don't expect me to pay for it in a future DLC.

My buddy thought the musical score was aliens trying to abduct him. I told him to turn it up and listen.

He was confused because we've heard every song on the radio stations at least 100 times each. He was surprised by how intuitive it can be. The range of additions to the sounds is great.

Driving from downtown to Blaine County, the music is quiet and serene. Gentle, like a monologued scene from Fear & Loathing. As we round the bend to a trailer park, run down and ragged. Bikers turn their attention on us, the music picks up. The riff becomes heavier. The mood becomes more tense. Outnumbered 30 to 2 with reinforcements closing behind us...

Yep, I'm glad they're adding more to the score. I loved Red Dead's scoring. I felt like a John Wayne/Clint Eastwood type the entire time. The Blond Stranger and Rooster Cogburn in one convenient character.

They really could have spent that money in 1,000 better ways, but if Tyler the Creator is on the new score then I'm somewhat interested. I only know that one song of his on FlyLo FM and I liked that one.

My problem with this (along with most added features like the new flight school missions) is that NOBODY AKED FOR IT. At the start of GTA Online, they said multiple times that GTA Online revolves around the community's feedback yet the highest request features are being ignored in favor for some crap that nobody asked for nor wants. Honestly, has anyone EVER seen a request for new score??? I've seen multiple requests for new radio songs but not this crap.

Rockstar is completely going against the "community driven" focus that they claimed GTA Online would follow.
