Why do you think heists aren't being released or talked about

I think it's because R* wants there community of players to die out a good portion before they release them or they are just flat out screwing with there player community

 

also i'd like to say i thought R* was gonna get rid of the hackers then add the heists? feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

You could guess they're using a marketing tactic, not giving out much info to build hype, like when SP was first shown in the first trailers. People are just going to continue to leave this game because they're no heists and R* knows that, my friends in real life refuse to play again until heists are released, and when they are a huge number of people will go online.

 

But also, if you haven't noticed the lack of open interiors around LS isn't well planned for a heist so they might be re-arranging the map to add new buildings, who knows? R* puts a lot of detail into their work and 5 years to perfect LS makes it seem they're going to need a few months to perfect these heists

After all the debacles in GTA Online with glitches/hacks and the breakdown of the online economy, they really need to tread lightly with certain updates and try to make such updates less susceptible to exploits.

 

Heists and stock markets provide an absurd amount of opportunities for people to exploit the game, which rockstar obviously doesnt want. So Im sure they are trying very hard prevent this.

This. Not delayed because they are fixing other issues hackers/glitchers cause but delayed because they don't want hackers/glitchers to hack/glitch them as soon as they're released. It is the hacker/glitcher communities fault even if they won't admit it.

My gawd! Every fourth thread posted here is about heists... Give it a break already.

 

We have one player whining about releasing new music instead of heists, even creating stupid polls about it before researching how a gaming company actually functions. Then we have others creating stupid threads like this - pure speculation that helps no one with anything. Why can't there just be one heist thread and everyone can babble in there instead?

 

A lot of players are going to be very disappointed when heists are released because they are hyping themselves up too much about it. They are going to be very similar to missions with a few other options placed into it. And when heists are finally released there are going to be mass amounts of thread bitching about how crap they are.

 

Do us all a favor, go play capture. A game mode not appreciated enough in this game - you'll eventually get some fun outa it.

They're not out 'cos they are either not ready or the game is not ready to take them. There is no conspiracy here, no matter how hard you try to find one. Learn to wait for these missions called heists. Good things come to those who wait. Moan and cry about them not being released and the wait will seem longer.

I almost never say anything about heists. And I'm not saying I don't like the content, I said that "there has been very little else added in terms of playable content", and it is to be expected and completely understandable that people are impatient about heists. People should be getting impatient about heists, because it's been way too long.

Exactly. It's just another name for a mission, only these will fail due to most players thinking they are Rambo, an inability to work together or listen to someone who has an idea of how to do something so it's a success and an inability to work as a team. Of course, this will all be Rockstars fault for giving us heists.

But then again, R* is not obligated to provide you with more information than what they have already nor are they obligated to release the heists when players want it. They have their schedules and reasons behind the delays.

 

Playable content, all the verified races/DMs, some jobs R* has placed in the game are not playable content? The content creator in itself is a haven to create your own playable content. All those capture jobs, what about those? Popular for three days and then no one bothers with them, heists are going to follow this same route.

 

But I'm not hatin' on players bitchin' about heists not being released, I'm complaining about the numerous threads filled with complaints when it's evidently clear that no one knows any further information because it simply has not been provided to us. Yet everyone feels the need to create new heist threads. Hmm... logic doesn't seem to work well here.

 

Anyway, I'm not going to doodle myself too much about this, I would rather have bug fixes than any further content placed into this game. The amount of problems this game still has well exceeds any expectations for new content. I can tell you this and when heists are released, we can expect more problems. It has been a upwards spiral since the big bang of GTAO.

I'll agree with the content creator, that itself is awesome. As for the verified content, I wish they never added that because half the deathmatches I joing are Prison Thugz Fight. The capture mode, that's a nice addition but like you said nobody plays it. And you're right that Rockstar is not obligated to provide us with any information, but if they don't do so then you can expect a lot of complaining.

 

Also, I don't feel like the game is very bugged right now at all. Certainly not too bugged to add new content. I usually don't encounter any bugs while playing. I've never been shot in my garage, I've never failed Rooftop Rumble due to a bug, and really most of the stuff reported on this site hasn't happen to me. Sure there are bugs, but they're not game breaking in any way.

Hmm...

 

Co-op missions = capture, survival, TDM, certain mission, LTS, Rally races

PVP mission = DM, races, freeroam, impromptu races, versus mission, parachuting

 

There are a lot for both, heists won't make a difference as they will be similar to your standard missions with a few extra options added to it.
