I like GTAV, don't get me wrong. But GTAIV online was pretty darn fun imo. Oh the countless hours of heli battles, spamming the kick button, and shooting pilots out their choppers (NO NOOB ASS AUTO AIM). I dont really miss the fa**ots that would keep killing you over and over to keep you from getting a chopper and no smoking them. Yup those were the days. Oh and did I mention there was NO AUTO AIM. Also why cant you squat in GTAV?

Yeah, and getting lit on fire by modders, teleported to the jail, launched in the air so you always die, people using god mode, glitches upon glitches upon glitches, etc.

I feel your pain. I stopped after it got real bad. But b4 that happened it was fun. I mean i loved when the modders where cool and spawned vehicles, huge ramps, neon lights, etc. But the assholes modders where just evil. I mean they were relentless.

I also didnt like when the modders would turn my character into that T-Rex from the museum by time square or turn you into a tree, and dont forget people driving around in bathtubs LMFAO. That was actually pretty funny to see though.

Yeah well thats GTA V within the upcoming months to. Recorded this yesterday on PS3:

So this was while playing on PS3 with my badsport account... which i then glitched into the goodsport lobbies but ok. I then got invited into some dude's appartment...

I would like to say what happend but.. its better just to see this for yourself:

The pictures i made with his PSN as his L plate ELSUFY2:

Also sorry for the pretty bad quality, and i had only 1 hand free to annoy him with airthrusting.

Now its only a matter of time before GTA O is flooded with these... godly aliens.

And it wasn't even April 1.

There were also GOOD modders who spawned the Comet and other unattainable vehicles in freeroam.

And what do you mean by no auto-aim? IV had auto-aim aswell, although not as abused as V is.

Why do people keep posting about GTA IV in here?

Is the link to the GTA IV forum broke or something?

GTA4 had auto aim.. and yeah you know you can turn that off in GTAV too.

Please tell me how? Does it disallow every player in the lobby like GTAIV too? I had no clue you could join servers like that. Thanks for the heads up. Oh btw, I know GTAIV had AA, but remember you could disallow it in your preference section in your phone so you would only join lobbies that met your liking. IMC no auto aim, no cops, friendly fire off is how my preferences were set in my phone. Edited by SimpleJack_420

Yes, you're correct, but remember R* added the ability to turn it off in your server preferences in your phone, so you would only join lobbies were no one could use AA at all. AA takes NO skill, and ppl on GTAV think their hot sh*t when they kill you using AA. I dont really mind it, but when some little sh*t kills me then wants to brag like it took tons of skill to do it, that really bothers me. But this is just my opinion, you guys may love AA, and that's ok. But according to the other guy you can join none AA servers in GTAV, I just didnt no that lol. Edited by SimpleJack_420

I don't understand this post, because that's exactly what GTA V does. It allows you to set your aim preferences and puts you in the appropriate lobby: Assited/Traditional in one, Free aim in the other.

I loved IV's multiplayer, especually TBOGT's.

All those people arguing with you via messages when you killed them repeatedly was a personal highlight, lol.

Hmmm nice bike

BOGT multiplayer was cool to mess around in with friends, I loved finding all the interiors and holding off the cops inside of them, places like Bahama Mamas, the little mall in Chinatown, the Korean restaurant, and the lawyer offices were great places for shootouts. I wasn't too crazy about Free Mode as time went on, since after a while it seemed like a majority of the time people were having a war at the airport and the rest of the map was pretty much ignored, even though I enjoyed it early on and had some fun times on there as well.

I enjoyed the helicopter battles. I remember killing another helicopter and safely landing, all without a tail rotor.

Also, killing little kids just to hear them rage and throw a tantrum was fun.

with V removal of the ability to drop grenades and pipe bombs from helicopters was a buzz kill... my partner and I had a system in IV freemode and it was simple and fun...

xbox freezes, and other garbage from hackers/modders killed IV's freemode though...

That really only happened late into the game's lifespan. As someone who bought the game on launch day, I can tell you that all those things wouldn't become common until years after GTA IV's release. Now in GTA V on the other hand, it only took about a month until all the mods, hacks and money glitches started to show up everywhere. I think OP is talking about the first 3 or so years of GTA IV online, before the game became riddled with modders.

I'll always loved how GTA IV actually let you turn the police off. I can't stand that there's no way to turn cops off in GTA V. I'll always remember all the fun times I had with friends in GTA IV. Having stand offs with cops on in the interiors, (I always liked using the law office for stand offs.) doing helicopter battles, doing some freerunning on the rooftops of buildings, playing TLAD with my GTA IV gang members and having shoot outs with rival gangs on top of the Lost clubhouse. Good times. I never was a big fan of TBOGT to be honest though, a lot of the guns felt overpowered and it was usually TBOGT that had all the modders and hacker lobbies, at least in my experiences. I personally played TLAD's online the most, where it was pretty rare to find modders in that game.

Welcome to GTA:O in a couple years' time. Happened to GTA 4, Red Dead, and Max Payne.

Ah the fun of heading to the swing glitch in Dukes and Alderney, and getting flown into the air and not having an idea of where to land. Good ol' days. Just the endless hours having shoot outs in the accessible buildings especially in north Algonquin or where ever in the city. Still after 6 years, still a fun part of IV as a whole.

I loved playing TLAD or TBoGT with friends just driving around in Biker Gangs through Dukes or using the APC's and Buzzards for the most greatest Police Rampage of all time. Those were the days.banderas.png

I always use auto aim, but that's because I suck ass at aiming period.

nothing wrong with auto aim, not everyone has that special shot. I don't even have it.avatar_967300_1356554643_zpsad890160.png

I enjoy both auto and disallow (disallow is more challenging, but auto is more realistic), and I LOVE using the heli … but getting into a hell in disallow makes things a bit easy. I've been killed in a heli in a DA game maybe four or five times in two years of flying. I'll usually forgo the heli in a DA game because it gives me such an advantage.

With DA in IV, many people weren't great shots … they just excelled at strafing really quickly. But the biggest thing that bugged me about DA was that 99% of the time, players would stay in their cars which would give them an advantage over someone on foot. So when you say that AA takes no skill, you should add the fact that beating someone on foot while you're in a car only take a tiny amount of skill. The only players I've been impressed by are the ones who will either stay on foot or actually get out of a car and kill a guy in the car chasing them. But those are few and far between.

I don't ever see GTA Online surpassing the memories I've had playing GTA IV's multiplayer both on PC with my old friends and mods/trainers... and the amount of custom game modes that were first discovered in the early PS3 days (before PC ever had a launch date).

All these threads make the wait to replay the game just that great, just wish all my friends wouldn't be busy playing GTA Online every day, would love to reunite them back in IV.

I'd say on foot vs driver balance is good, as long as the driver isn't inside an infernus or a big ass truck that is. I used to always exit my car very long ago but doing that was pretty stupid.
