It is fun. Can't do it in real life so might as well do there.

I understand the allure some may find in killing innocent live players, although I don't kill unless provoked. I'm told there is nothing like hunting another human. I've sat on top of the tallest crane downtown, had innocent random players in my sight, but just couldn't do it.

Although, it is quite entertaining when the psychopaths come calling, I have to admit. Nothing like killing a live player multiple times when provoked.

Good times!

Because this is Grand theft auto not test drive unlimited

And the definition of GTA Online is - Players will get points by killing each other and by being the biggest asshole they can be.

Stupid excuse.

Grand Theft Auto is a felony defined as the act of stealing or attempting to steal a vehicle, genius. If the game was called 1st Degree Murder you'd have a point.

To quote Rickreim above, "Because I can."

I kill random people because i don't kill my own crew. This leaves only randoms to point my gun at. If you see a fast moving white dot on your radar, you don't have to kill them, but you'd better be ready for them.

You're confusing it with Call of Duty.

Because this isn't Sims.

This isn't Happy Fun Time Murder Spree.

i wonder why people asking this kind of question in a game that revolves around killing people for almost no reason!

I don't normally kill randoms, but sometimes, boredom strikes.

Also, a simple reason is because GTA (over the years) has since gotten the reputation as a "kill everyone in sight" type of game. The title "Grand Theft Auto" doesn't mean that the game should revolve around stealing cars. If they wanted it to be about stealing cars alone, then why add pedestrians and guns? Why did they have to put so many features in the game that are pretty much tools to become the world's greatest serial killer? Players are given the freedom to kill each other, so we do it.

I'ma make a new game called Griefing Trolling Assholes and give everybody guns and tanks, and see what happens.

The blame for the simple-minded, sorry state of GTA Online (which consists of people either killing or grinding) rests with Rockstar for creating a "bold new direction" that isn't so bold or new. Seems a lot like Quake and Unreal Tournament to me.

GtaO brings out the closets sociopaths.

Real killing can't be handled by everyone so they do it in an online sand box to seemingly anonymous pixels, it's training for future drone pilots... Lol... Snicker

As opposed to what? Killing non-random people?

Nah, that's not as much fun

Meh, sometimes it can be fun starting a fight, there's a difference between starting fights and griefing though. There was a small window of time when I got a little rampant upon realization that I'm finally a lot higher than most others, but I cut back realizing that I was like the ones I hated when I was small leveled. Besides it's better when they have it coming to them, and plenty have it coming to them.
