Don't you just hate how those NPC drivers drive so bad, cutting you up etc or turning right in front of your path?!?

But can we really complain - I've never seen a safe human driver, we always use the wrong side of the road, speed way above the limit, run pedestrians over, rarely stop at red lights - the NPC's are actually better drivers than we give them credit for!

I think R* scripted the NPCs to do incidents like this or perhaps it's their way to stop us from "speeding" and be more careful on the road. It was way worse in GTA IV especially when you speed past the NPCs across that bridge

Definitely coded to cause collision, when you do RR on hard level and are in your supercar going to the max you can see slow vehicles like the delivery vans or mini's going at your exact speed too with the purpose of causing a crash.

It's especially ridiculous in RR. I had one car yesterday flip a U-turn from a red light on an undivided 4 lane road just to get in my way. Where are the cops when you really need them?

They must be coded to turn in front of you. Every time I came to a small intersection and a car was there, I just knew that it would turn in front of me.

Its not so much that you end up hitting them that is the problem. The problem is that when you hit one that they will instantly turn into an immovable mass and keep the accelerator on so you cant untangle yourself from them.

here's a fact :

~ because logicness from IV ( triggering shootout even if expensive car would cause the driver get out ) , the driver instead hit the gas in V . this

makes nearly impossible to threaten the driver to get out with a gun ( unless if u good enough at close range ) therefore the driver become aggresive no matter how far he/she go . this is dangerous if triggered in streed full of fast cars as they unintentionally rams u as if they running like many domestic bulls

 

~ despite they will hit the gas . on rare occassion , they still tend to leave the car instead . not only serve getaway vehicle , but also gain cover

 

~ all of black sentinel XS driver always aggresively drive . their car not only sentinel xs but also patriot , tailgater , etc . their appearance is random and whatever car he/she drives will be black , should player pull that driver they will use ordinary pistol

 

~ also a glitch same effect of black sentinel XS driver ( albeit the driver don't have a gun ) due network streaming issues , causing them became reckless driver but also fast . this glitch capable enough kill player if the car go fast enough

I think we're giving R* too much credit. The truth is that R* doesn't have the ability to code a proper AI. NPC behavior is so random and not always aimed at us.

Yes, it's perfectly acceptable to turn right on a red if it's clear to do so in the states, unless there's a sign saying you can't.

I think they tried to mimic how bad the drivers out here in Cali are, they cut you off, drive slow and piss you the hell off.

 

We have some idiot drivers out here, I can vouch for that.

The type that suddenly get in the way when you are driving very fast. I think they based the drivers on British drivers to be honest because even a lot of drivers here don't know how to use indicators.
