STRR MULTICLASS ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

What and how?

 

First round is sunday march 15th, in total 10 races every 2 weeks on sunday. 8:30pm coming together and 9pm UK time race start.

 

Every round will be 1 race in a certain vehicle class about 1hr long (GT1 time), and will be split up in 3 classes GT1, GT2 and GT3. GT1 will be the fastest class and GT3 the slowest. People only race the cars in their class. Cars are specified for each class by us. All races will be run in GTA mode for practical reasons and to make the pitstops work (wrenches), off course it speaks for itself that there's no killing/weapons involved. So contact will be on but no slipstream or catchup. No blocking people on purpose from faster classes, but that doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice your driving line.

 

People will race in teams existing out of 3 drivers, one for each class. You stay in the same class for the whole season. There's place for a maximum of 27 drivers/9 teams. Every team has to have a team name and race color, and each member of the team is expected to run that color. It would be nice if every team has a sponsor from an in game brand/make and has a logo to go with it, it's not an obligation but it would be nice to see that people get involved with it. To have a race team logo you'll need to make a new crew for your race team, no other way unfortunately.

 

Race setup

 

Every 1st lap of a race will be a formation lap to get everyone in the right position and the race will start in the second lap, the signal to start will be a stickybomb. The grid formation will be GT1 cars in front then GT2 cars and at the back GT3. 2 Rows formula 1 style and 1 car length between cars in the same class and 3 car lengths between different classes. Every person is going to start in every position (1-9) once during the championship. In the last race the points will decide starting places. The same points (15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1) will be awarded to each class every race. Pitstops (fixed place where you can pick up wrenches) will be available in every race, you have to take em when you have damage. It's forbidden to respawn unless you're stuck or drove off a cliff. The finish will be the normal race finish.

 

At the end of the season we will have a champion in each class (GT1, GT2 and GT3) and also a team champion, that will be the team with the most points from all classes together.

 

We are also going to have reserve drivers, they will replace drivers from teams that can't be there. A reserve will be picked randomly out of the available players by us, the earned points go towards the replaced driver/team. Every driver can only be replaced 3 times by a reserve. If a driver can't compete for the 3rd time then the team can make the choice to replace that driver permanently. Let us know on beforehand if a reserve is needed.

 

The whole setup of the event is basically the same as Broughy's but with different cars and tracks.

 

 

What i need

 

Teams

I need you guys and girls to make teams, i need to know by wednesday (march 11th) who is going to be in what team. Send me a pm with your team name and members and also who is going to race in which class (GT1, 2, 3). Remember you stay in the same class for the whole season. The cars that are faster are often more expensive, think about that. You have 2 weeks every time to get the car you need.

Please keep it quit who's is going to race in what class, i would like to keep that as a surprise and announce that the day before the 1st race .

There's place for 3 more teams and every team exist out of 3 people, all the info regarding teams is in the what and how section. Please keep it a bit fair so it stays fun .

 

 

Volunteer(s)

I'm looking for someone that can attend to every race and can help out to check the starting grid and can detonate the sticky to launch the race. Maybe also to keep scores, it would be best if we have several people for that so we can be sure it's a 100% correct.

It is also a nice opportunity to make pictures and videos . Every race will have day/night in it.

 

Reserve drivers

I need people to be able to make a list of official reserve drivers, can't you make it to every race but want to attend, is the list full or no team left then please sign up for the reserve list.

 

 

To expect

 

The details for the 1st race and the rest of the season will be up by monday evening (march 9th). Details will include all the dates, tracks, which cars and weather conditions are going to be used. First round will be relativity cheap so don't spend it all on heists goodies .

 

Team info will be up by saturday evening (march 14th)

 

 

Sidenotes

 

It's something different then we normal do, it's not your average race timewise. Focus and strategy will be key, but i think there's a lot of fun to be had with this. The races will be just as much against yourself as against others.

I aimed to use cars that are challenging, interesting, fun and well balanced to use but are not our daily race choices. I also did my best to keep it affordable .

The Vespucci Sprint Cup

 

Welcome all STRR drivers to The Vespucci Sprint Cup the third of four official STRR racing event. The winner of The Sprint Cup will have the playlist dedicate to him or her and have a chance to pick one race for the next event as well as all the glory of winning a cup race. The winner of the feature race will receive 5 points to there over all score and have that race dedicated to him or her.

 

I will start a open crew lobby at 8:30pm UK time for the Pre-Meet please join me then. We will meet at Vespucci Beach please bring out a sport class vehicle. We would like to see a wide selection of sports class please. We will then take a group photo before the race starts, also BlockParty will be taking individual photos as well. Matt will be taking video after the race event for a up coming race video. This will be taking place in a studio so please join us after the race event.

 

So Good Luck to everyone and you know what day it is. It's Race Day.

The truck does look badass, but to be honest, I'm not quite sure what the point of it in the game will be. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

 

The Karuma...meh...not really a fan of he Lancer/Evo but I guess I'll probably get one since it's the new big hing and all the cool kids will be doing it.

 

The Casco looks great and I'll almost certainly get one, probably out it between my Stinger GT and Monroe.

 

The van-style version of the Slamvan is something I wish had been an option since the truck-style Slamvan was brought back at Christmas. I had one for awhile and got rid of it. I may try to make room for the van-style type, though.

 

My biggest hope remains that more garage space will be included with this update. It's been pointed out, though, that new garage space seems to come about every 6-7 months, so it's not time yet by that schedule. Still, I hold out hope that the timing so far is just coincidental and not something Rockstar will hold fast to.
