I was being sarcastic so no need for that pointless message...I prefer contact on as it tests ya driving n makes racing more fun, .....if ya can race properly on a video game man.

I don't have any fun when I get spun out by someone, and it's also not fun for me to spin someone else out, which makes me feel bad that I wrecked someone else's fun. I don't find that contact races test my driving, I find that they test my ability to avoid hitting others, and it also tests my ability to not throw my controller through my tv screen whenever I'm having a decent run and get wiped out not through my own lack of skill, but by someone else's...or worse, by their deliberate effort to be an ass.

 

I don't think you need to explain the difference from real life to a video game, as far as I know people in here are smart enough to understand that. You have to put his comment into context, he was talking about GTA and how proper door to door racing in the game is done by having contact on and not ghost driving.

Both you and Soloman referred to "proper racing". There is no proper way in this game, there's one way and there's another way, and to say that one of the ways isn't proper is ludicrous.

 

 

 

I said "proper racing", Solo said "real racers use contact" which I in my mind translated to "having contact on is the most skillful way to race in the game" since you most of the time have to drop a racing line to go door to door with your opponent. You just keep saying that we can't use the word "real" about GTA, which is both right and wrong, but you have to look at the context it is written in. "Real" can be used in many ways, and not only to compare stuff to real life. Anyways, this is a pointless discussion..just move on people.

The problem with text is you can't really tell the feeling that went into the letters on the screen. You can't tell that I'm perfectly calm and have no need to relax any more than I already am, just like I couldn't tell that sarcasm was being used earlier. The exact same words can be written with a smile on someone's face, or a sneer. But you can't see the writer's expression, only the words they write.

 

If I relaxed anymore, I'd be asleep. I think people are taking what I'm saying antagonisticly, but that's not the intent at all.

You got off to a bad start by posting a pic of yourself and refered to being flirty which led a few of us to believe u were just a normal genuine sick pervert, a few other comments raised alarms aswell but we don't know u and we're mostly mature adults so the benefit of the doubt was given, but your big long sarcastic comment was a little bit destructive and well over the top, u fully knew that "the feeling of the text couldn't be seen in the text" or whatever so why did you write it and putting speech marks around "real racing" is just downright cheeky and just not pleasant, u either knew exactly what you were doing or just aren't to bright, I have a similar problem when writing things so until I know someone and more importantly they know me I dont start writing challenging statements like yours, if your lucky and people end up liking you, you can write wtf u like, we can even have a good old fashioned argument and make friends afterwards but I've never seen or spoke to you and as far as I'm aware no one knows you, so just have a good think about what your writing or else people will just try their best to avoid you....

But I will leave one thing from what I originally wrote here, and that's to say I think it's ironic that you start off by saying I got off on the wrong foot by introducing myself, and then end your post by pointing out that nobody knows me. Yeah I know nobody knows me, that's why it occurred to me to introduce myself. But whatever.

Let me pull something out of what you just said: "...as far as I'm aware no one knows you." That's correct, and that's why I wrote that introductory post about myself...the one you just said got me started off on the wrong foot. I got the sense that everybody around here knew eachother pretty well, and I felt like a total outsider, and I was hoping to get to know people as people got to know me. Anyway, I just think it's ironic that you'd start off by saying that introducing myself was a bad start for me, and then wrap it up by pointing out that nobody knows me.

Really bro? just leave it now. I'm sure you will get to know us all in time. It took me a while to get to know everybody but i did not need to put my life story on here. We all talk through mic. Sometimes we play in big lobbys where not everybody can hear each other somethings we play with just a few of us. I guess what i'm getting at was you did not need to write a full paragraph about yourself just give it time and people will get to know you.

Fair enough. I shifted one of the barriers at the first chicane inwards to line up better with the others, maybe half a foot game terms and I added a concrete barrier between the lamp post and the tree on the start straight/outside of the last corner

I have noticed a few of the newer members seem to be a bit overly cocky or mouthy at times. This is not aimed at any of the posts here today but, I just want to put this out as a warning, keep bringing drama and you will be kicked.

We had a similar issue a while back when we had so many new recruits coming in and it was getting a bit out of hand, maybe its time to tighten up on things a bit...
