Fastest/Best Way To Attract Bounty

Recommended Posts

As title - asked in the Q&A thread a week ago but no replies.

Given there's no Cops 'n' Robbers mode, the best way to have fun in FR (IMO) is to get and survive a bounty, so if you haven't got a friend online to take it in turns is there a 'best' or most reliable way to get one?

I jack as many high end (Ubermacht, Patriot, Baller) as I can and stay in each car for at least 30 seconds, and the other thing I've noticed is that male drivers are much more likely to give one (I switch sessions if all the NPC drivers start being female). I've tried "annoying" the driver before I jack them by bumping them, not sure if that helps (more likely they'll get out and turn red/chase you).

Jacking the Sentinel Guy results in a bounty about half the time in my experience, so generally not worth the effort of stopping it.

Anyone found any better ways?

I agree with your method, as well as just setting random small bounties on higher level players who sometimes retaliate.

Damn I LOVE to hide in the tunnels, make my way to the airport, fly to Sandy Shores, hide in the meth house until I sneak out to a sub... usually back to the tunnels to finish waiting the bounty out.

I'm sure I got one for killing the black Sentinel guy last week.

Generally though, I hang around my bounty spot jacking as many cars as possible 'til I get one. Doesn't take too long usually.

go to a gasng area, jack a gang ride.... personally ive found jacking a lowrider in grove street usually ends up in a bounty.

I've had them for killing gang members around Grove/Forum St too, and for doing a couple Gang Attacks.

Where's your 'bounty spot'? ;)

I still haven't tried the meth house, "speed is life" and all that (plus people probably report you for wallhacking and who needs BS).

The meth house isn't wall hacking, I don't consider that fair. You just shoot out a window and climb in.

I pull onto a main thoroughfare. Block at least two lanes of traffic, and begin killing NPC's. The NPCs that pull up behind the mayhem will flee, leaving their vehicle door wide open. I find that I get a bounty more frequently from stealing these cars than jacking ordinary cars. Also, in my experience, the value of the car has nothing to do with frequency of the bounty.

I have also gotten one for killing the ammunation clerk, and for stealing the jet from FZ.

Usually when you least want one you get a 5/7k from a bloody npc.

If you're trying to attract a bounty from an actual player, i've found stickie bombing their car 2-3 times successively usually does the trick. sometimes they are just too broke tho and report you. if you kill them too much, they'll just go passive and then they won't be able to bounty you.

Tell me about it.

The best way to avoid them is to enable passive mode for a while after jacking an NPC.

It'll require some conscious effort, but it'll be worth it. Also, if you DO get a bounty set on you. Select your apartment for your next spawnpoint and switch sessions. The bounty will be re-set on you after you leave the apartment, but if you enable passive mode while you're inside, you'll be safe once you leave.

Such a bitch tactic...

If you really don't want the bounty, just let someone claim it and get it over with...

Nope.

I don't go down easily.

Besides, giving up is bitchier than trying to at least survive.

Steal a nice car or kill the lowest rank crew member (not urgent crew) in the session

Place a $1,000 dollar bounty on someone with a higher rank than you. Normally, they'll want to prove they're better than you by then putting the max amount on you. That used to work for me.

I don't kill them, I send a mugger and mercenaries and if I'm in the area I'll do an Off The Radar Airstrike drive past too, but since the Billionaire Days ended nobody sets bounties as much :(
