Marco veddi
So yeah I suck at survival....... need some tips clearly lol Watch "Suck at Survival" on YouTube - Suck at Survival:
SightsIn
To start with the basics, your accuracy needs some improvement and you should probably find better cover spots (something with a roof, at least). You should also use a handgun for the first few waves, as one bullet from any of them will usually be enough to kill the guys on the low waves. Also, you missed that RPG shot because you shot at where he was instead of where he would be.

Other than what was said if the the chopper is about to turn aim for the turning point. in the time it takes to turn it will be stationary or near stationary. It is a moment though so advanced aiming is still a required skill. Cover is essential, but you can do a lot by moving from cover to cover as well. be aware of the surroundings and where cover is. Keep an eye on the map for the congregation of enemies and keep moving for them (you can be too defensive in survivals). This works best when you have limited cover like sandy shores as well as with back up for cover and support. In solo play throughs though cover is paramount as you need all the defence you can get. in these instances let the enemy come to you and be patient. With Choppers a roof is needed, but any obstruction between you and the chopper such as a high wall can be used (like the porta cabin in the Boneyard). If you are struggling with free aim go to assisted aim for now and practice free aim on gang attacks then try free aiming in survivals. Gentle immersion is often better than blind panic. REXX
I did the Del Perro Pier Survival on my own and got to round 6, though if I had given Merryweather a call, I would have probably lasted another round or two. Some of the survivals have vendors, great advantage if you have used all of the health packs available.
SMFtwstdHICK
That Del Perro one is tough IMO.. Along with the Cop one by the railroad cars..
REXX
At the far end of the pier, there is kind of like a small wooden fence/wall. You can keep cover behind this and snipe the enemies coming towards you. The only things you should keep and eye out for are choppers and vehicles which tend to spawn behind you. gtaocicat
a better way to take out a helicopter is to aim for the rear blade with the special carbine , they will go down with just a few shots to the rear blade Dr.Rosenthal

Alex Wesker
Yeah. Play with a few others and use more vantage points + cover = cover is everything in survival. It really is, bro
Dr.Rosenthal
You seem to use free aim? A lot harder without traditional GTA aiming.. But anyway, as others have said: Stay in cover (at least above wave 3), spread out from your teammates so you cover different areas.. Pick up any remaining stuff (armor, ammo) when the round is almost over and there's one or two enemies left. That way the stuff will reappear as soon as the next round begins - you'll already have full armor, your teammates will have plenty to pick from. Other than that.. If you're left alone and the NPC's start closing in, use the automatic shotgun without aiming (from cover). It's good for injuring NPC's and get them to the ground. Dr.Rosenthal
As for the Del Pierro Pier - I thought it was crazy difficult before I realised, if you move straight towards the city there'll be a big parking lot ahead of you. To your left are bathrooms or something, which have roofing.. Best place to be IMO.

REXX
I remember doing a survival earlier at the plane scrapyard in the Grand Senora Desert. I saw a Jackal parked behind the large abandoned hanger. I should have tried to enter it. Oh and a little update, I managed to reach round 10 on del Perro Pier on my own... Two choppers and 50000000 enemies firing at you is kind of tricky, haha. Yeah, I got killed.

cattafett
That Del Perro one is tough IMO.. Along with the Cop one by the railroad cars.. south end of the railway one there are two bins get behind the green one and pistol whip it six or seven times on the right hand side that will let you shoot from behind it + give you a better angle as most of the cops come from the north only weak point is if a cop stands on the thing to your 2 o'clock
REXX
@McBean007 I mentioned it earlier on this thread. At the very far en of the pier (closest to the ocean) you'll see a wooden fence kind of thing. You can take cover behind it. As the enemies come straight towards you in a distance, you can snipe quite a few of them before they even get to you. Enemies that appear in vehicles will spawn behind you, so watch your back when they do. For the helicopters, I aim for the pilot, taking the other two enemies down. If you take cover behind the wooden fence, to your left, there will be two vending machines and armour. A weapon spawns almost literally in front of you and right next to the vending machines are bathrooms which you can go in which is ideal when taking down choppers, however, there is no cover inside to hide behind, meaning that ground enemies have an advantage. All this said, I would say that the choppers are hard nuts to take down as they are flying all over the place. As for round 10, two choppers spawn making it even harder, so yeah, I got my ass kicked real bad! ten-a-penny

You will have to figure that one on your own.
Shaenno
I love survivals and I've played all of them except the Sawmill one (gotta get around that hopefully). But the best tip that I can give you is KNOW THE MAP and LET THE ENEMIES COME TO YOU. This is very handy especially doing survivals in free-aim, You don't need to get out of the cover so you can shoot them, they come to you when you just wait. Pick a covered place where you can't be swarmed in easily, I usually pick the very back of that warehouse in Processed Survival. I've played with a lot of people in survivals and the one that always go rambo (running around shooting) are always the dead one first. So stay in cover and shoot your way on the waves of enemies. If you're using auto-aim and want the highest kill among your team? memorise the spawn points and camp to the nearest covered area. Make sure you use Auto shotgun when they come too close, it's easier to kill them with it than a rifle. ten-a-penny

ten-a-penny
my tips: always get in a good cover that can handle all the enemies without getting out from cover. Proceeded Survival. use it. by far the easiest between them all head to the second shed to your right, behind the rusty bus or behind the nearby green dubster-like thingy. covered from all directions, wide area to gun the enemies down. and not only its the easiest, its also a good one to get the Minigun if you didn't unlock/get it, making all the others much easier. beginner? STAY THE F AWAY FROM INDUSTRIAL PLANT SURVIVAL! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I am who's an expert in Survivals and find it near-impossible to pass solo. don't get your greed for health/weapons/armor kill you. this had happened to me all the time. and this is the most rule I break sadly. when you need an armor, then kill all the enemies nearby FIRST. nothing else. Wave 4, 7, 10 = incoming helicopters! hardest part in the Survivals is/are when the helicopters come. they usually come in Wave 4 [always] Wave 7 [sometimes in Proceeded Survival. Unconfirmed in others] and lastly. Wave 10. hell, they sometimes even come as two helicopters! if you're playing with others, and are hiding somewhere nice, and the heli spawn in front of you in the horizon, pull your sniper of choice (recommend normal one) and try to snipe the pilot. if you killed the pilot, then you'll kill the heli. trust me. its possible use Grenade Launchers at incoming cars = WIN. you'll kill them the second the vehicle blow up. Minigun = WIN! if you got the Minigun, then I assure you. if you used the tactics right, you'll win not 100%, but 99999999999999999999999999999999% best cover = covered from all directions. best knowing the fight area, the better the results. most important thing in Survivals. if you want to train on survivals, and you're on PSN, then add me. ten-a-penny.
