How To: Build On Water

Hey guys!

 

With this useful glitch involving the water ramp you'll be able to place any prop you would like on water. Additionally, you'll be able to place props, even if they are too big to fit the specific location.

Text Tutorial:

1. Place 2 water ramps

2. Pick one of them up / press X/A on it

3. Change that water ramp to an object small enough to be placed on top of the other water ramp (for instance the electric box)

4. Change it to a bigger object, which usually can't be placed on the water ramp (in this case you could press right to change it to a small ramp) and immediately hit X/A.

*Note that 4 might take a few tries

 

Basically we're using the 'stacking-glitch' and at the same time fooling the creator into thinking we're placing a smaller object than we actually are.

 

You can use this glitch to make some amazing content, and i've personally made one of my favorite creations using this method.

How well does it work though? Is it the same principle as you showed us for the deathmatch? Like can it be used for putting spawn points on the ramps themselves or no?

Haven't made races since the first week after launch, but made one back then with spawns on top of props. So if it hasn't changed since then it should work

Sorry for the late reply, i'm very busy with military service. For the same reason i haven't really looked into the Capture Creator that much yet, but yea I'm pretty sure it works. Please confirm it if you try it

Made a video on that on the same channel as the video linked above. Currently the only way to build inside the base w/o hacking your PS3

I'm having a lot of trouble with the switching glitch. I just can't get it to work. I've watched the top results videos but none of them really break it down. I'll trying to build a platform from containers, whatever, in the sky. Its got to be some simple thing i'm missing. Also on how to place a car on said container. Its driving me crazy. I've googled the hell out of it.

 

Basically I want to make a LTS derby on a floating platform.
