A 1st for me. A Glitch or hack? You decide.

Went online this evening and right away someone with a high $$$$, bought car starts chasing me. No biggie, let's shoot at each other etc.

 

We go thru the Railroad tunnels and I do a 180 and watch him spin up next to me. I get out and get in the passenger seat(thinking he wants to team up). Well he isnt in there? The driver seat is empty. Then it gets crazy. Here he comes in the same exact car that Im setting in thru the tunnel.

 

I get out and back into my car evading him. I drive around a bit and here he comes again. Im looking out the back shooting at him when I hit a wall that popped up in the middle of the road. A PC car beside hit it as well.

 

I go around it and blast another one trying to escape. This 2nd wall is offset and exactly in my path as I was driving around the 1st wall.

 

Here comes this guy blasting around me and hits the wall and spins into a building. I get out the RPG and blow him up just a second before Another wall comes up behind this guy, basically encasing him from the outside world.

 

I said F' this and went to another session. The next session and ones after it were all ok?

 

Glitch? Hack?

I rarely see things like that. when I do they lose their account with a ban.

People throw out the words hack, glitcher and modder without really knowing what they mean but because they heard it somewhere else they decide to use it and often time using the wrong word to describe what they are talking about.


Let me guess, you are on ps3.

 

I rarely see things like that. when I do they lose their account with a ban.

Please tell me how you know that they loose there accounts and banned?

 

Do you stalk em to find out or are you just guessing because you sent a report to R* and just assume that they are banned?

No. R* are a bunch of pussies.

 

I report them to the xbox live enforcement team, they do a great job.

It takes about 3 to 6 days after I report someone and its bye bye.

 

Most ppl don't think it work because they don't get banned right away.

No. R* are a bunch of pussies.

"Hacking" is forcing your way into a system to gain unauthorized access (generally "harmful" and illegal - used loosely). A "glitch" is a brief irregularity/malfunction/undesired and unexpected transition in data.

 

Don't confuse the two nor mix it up with "modding" which is simply an alteration to gaming code to make it operate in a different manner (generally not "harmful" to game play). Now you can force a glitch if you understand the circumstances/environment of it, but again - they're very different.

 

This is an example of a glitch.

This is a glitch though...It's not a hack, but it most certainly IS a glitch.
