Nz_fool Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Hey guys, with the recent success of GTA V it has become quite a possibility for a new chapter, here is what I think it will hold for us.  Firstly I think it will not be called Grand Theft Auto VI, because as you may know Rockstar are always changing. We first got introduced with Grand Theft Auto, a revolutionary for gamers, mainly for its freedom and open universe, this was followed by Grand Theft Auto II, even better then the last but not up to Rockstar's standard, eventually we were given Grand Theft Auto III, the first 3D game of it's sort, a massive world wide success, this was the first glimpse of what Rockstar were capable of. But, here is were Rockstar changed, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, (notice the slight name change?) This game just like its predecessors was even better then the last. I think to mix it up Rockstar had the name changed to its location setting, instead of the normal IV (Which would later be used for the first HD game of GTA) this is what I think, and this pattern has continued throughout the years.Secondly as many of you may disagree with me on this, I definitely think this next game will not be in Vice City, I think this because we have already seen VC twice in the series, and it is time for something even more amazing. Sure we haven't seen VC in HD (which would be awesome) but that said it is time for something new, this is why I think the next two GTA games will most probably be set in either Las Venturas, or San Fierro. This would give Rockstar a chance to re-invent San Andreas, and make it better then how we last saw it, I would not like a modern Vice City, it would kill the original. Placing it in Las Venturas or San Fierro would make sense, as like V it will focus on the main city and the surrounding areas, e.g. Area 69 or the Desert...  Lastly I think the characters will be very different from any character we have seen before, I am talking about, undercover cops, professional con-artists, an antagonist who is a very old and broken retired thug who trains and mentors (Not like Micheal, I mean someone who is so broken, he can barely walk, who regrets everything and is a known suicidal, in his home, would be broken ropes, and glasses, in failed attempts of killing himself, and his caregiver who is tricked into doing jobs for him, would be a main character) these are just some of hundreds of amazing characters yet to come. All of our previous protagonists have been, retired and want to get back in, or a poor thug building an empire becoming billionaires, a different story would be a good change to get into, and in GTA V we got a taste of what can be done in making a great character.  This is all my opinion if another GTA game will ever be made, and I am glad you took the time to read this, please leave a comment on which you think the next game may or may not be like, and if you agree with any of my points. RipGore Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Yea a new Vice City would kill the old Vice City. Miami was sparkling and crime-infested in the 80's. Now it's like any other modern city like Los Santos. Las Venturas would be a step forward because it's not any ordinary city. This one sparkles with movement more than any other. woggleman Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) It will have tons of interiors and people will complain about it like they do the countryside. Â It would be nice to have 70s themed game set in Chicago, Detroit and the surrounding countryside. Also maybe a game set in the south. Â If they do Vice City you will see thousands of threads complaining that it isn't a remake of the PS2 game. Zondar Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) I agree with your thoughts on Vice City. It's my favourite GTA, but part of its magic is when it's set as well as where, this would be lost in a contemporary setting. I'd love to play a dirty cop, lots of scope for fun in that one, also I think a female protagonist is pretty likely.
