PS3 keeps freezing when playing GTA:O

I'm really frustrated right now. Recently, my PS3 has been freezing when I play GTA:O. Freezes when I'm in FR, freezes when I'm doing a mission, it f*cking freezes all the time. In three hours, I can expect it to freeze several times (six+ depending on what I'm doing).

 

Yesterday I started a Survival mission on my own. Was on wave ten, then when some guy bleeding out died, leaving two enemies and a heli left, it froze. I was pissed.

 

A few hours ago, I was carrying my team, when near the end of round eight, it froze.

 

Just now, at the exact same f*cking point in the Survival (two guys and a heli left), guess what happened? It froze.

 

Boom, that's three Survival missions that I would've most likely beaten and gotten some good rewards wasted.

 

When it freezes, the music will continue. For example, the background music in the Survival mission will continue indefinitely (left it on for 20+ minutes after it froze).

 

It's really flippin' angering me. My friend reports his game also experiencing freezing issues after the latest update.

 

Is anybody else experiencing issues like this? What am I supposed to do?

Me and my friends get freezes alot but only maybe 1-2 times max per session. Sounds dumb but have you checked your disc for any scratches or dirt? Sometimes that can cause a game freeze.

I'm getting this, as well as a lot of network connection issues, playing through Xbox 360 so I guess the problem is universal.

 

People have been complaining about these issues, especially since it became so frequent after Patch 1.11.

 

Hopefully Rockstar finds some sort of solution to this problem, as well as the horrendous loading times for switching sessions and joining GTA: O.

 

On another note, this should be moved to the 'Troubleshooting' sub-forums.

Yeah. Nothing seems wrong with it.
