He used DXT 5 which is crap DXT 3 looks better.

That's not true, you know? With DXT-5, you end up having less quality loss than when DXT-3 is used.

 

Unless you don't need alpha, then stick to DXT-1.

 

Well on IV looks better i don't think IV uses it well since orig used 1 and 3 only.

I thought it was the internet...but I tried to download something in Mediafire and did it fast

The problem is the host, I had the same speed....

So I gave up and went back to the tiring job of keep sweeping around to download the files.

remove d3dx9.dll from your IV folder, better yet, play without ENB

 

EDIT: Hey NTA, what about a multiplayer mod for Spore? I would enjoy spreading p***s creatures on another players' empires/planets, the game always had a potential for MP, but EA...

i have too problem with dissapearing textures and objects, but only after 20-30 minutes of playing its insane how much time i need to wait to load some part of maps,that i alerady visit before multiple times, soo its not missing caches that needs download its memory leak or something... i heard from somebody its about 7gb full size of cache, i have for now 5,3gb... it would be cool if NTA upload all caches, because its not posible for one player too visit every single corner of the map to download every single cache file... i will try to set lower draw distance soo maybe that would fix problem...

i will help you because i spent more then 6 hours searching

its not posible for now to play offline,but you can play it online..

1. install gta 4

2. update it to 1.0.7.0 version

3. download this http://lilycove.hacks.re/viiv/viiv_citizen_v2.zip (copy full link)

4. download this http://citizen.re/files/iv-temp.zip

5. extract files from viiv_citizen_v2.zip to any folder

6. extract from "iv-temp.zip" CitizenFX.exe (only this file) to folder you extracted viiv_citizen_v2.zip files (overwrite CitizenFX.exe press yes)

7. disable antivirus just to be sure, or add folder you extracted to exclusion in your antivirus

8. run CitizenFX.exe and wait for update...

9. social club login windwos will appear (if you have social club account login or make new one if you dont have one its free)

10. thats it select server and wait loading 2-3 minutes till music in background end, thats optimal loading time or if you have low end pc wait more..

optimal:

If you want trainer in game download this http://www.filedropper.com/trainerextract those 3 files in folder you extracted viiv_citizen_v2.zip files where is CitizenFX.exe (press f3 in game to open trainer options)

if you want first person mod download this http://www.filedropper.com/firstpersonextract those 3 files in folder you extracted viiv_citizen_v2.zip files where is CitizenFX.exe (to use in game first person mod double tap V)

The only issue I found with the mod is that most of the time the textures load really slowly and you end up driving on the LODs

I hope this is fixable.

maybe firewall blocking you, add citizenFX.exe to exclusion in your firewall and try again

or try make another account...

or install again with steps i give you

you use wrong citizenFX.exe or you extracted ini file too, servers are online, do again from step 5,

STEP 6 are very important copy-extract ONLY citizenFX.exe from iv-temp.zip to (do not copy citizenFX.ini from iv-temp.zip thats old ini or you will get infinitive connecting green bar) to folder you extracted viiv_citizen_v2.zip files

Why do you think you would manage to download a +1.3GB file to play an online game mode with a sh*tty internet connection like that? No matter if someone upload the entire new citizen files to MEGA, Rapidshare, Thepiratebay, etc.. No matter the speed provided from these download sites, you would have difficulties even by downloading a .gif file from them without having to wait for several minutes.

 

BTW: you wouldn't get online more than 10 seconds without taking a CTD because the game needs that you sop at some place for some time to download all the props, textures, lods, etc. Your internet connection wouldn't help you at this situation...

 

mods, I'm not promoting piracy by using these download sites as examples. I wouldn't do this because we need to feed our master and leader Gabe f*ckin Newel at the glorious steam master race.

No man...in MEGA my download speed reached 800 kb/s, in Mediafire 500 kb/s, cant remember other server now...I dont have lag in any game...if my internet connection was bad, I wouldn´t say this...the problem is the download site. Please friend, could u upload the file to MEGA? Sincerly, my internet connection is good
