You just unzip it all to a new folder somewhere like even on your desktop like I do. I just downloaded the new cache and added it to my folder.

Hey NTA, how do I install this? I downloaded the Cache and it is just a bunch of random files. Did I get the wrong Download? Also is there a normal version with normal files like in vIIv alpha 1?

@NT

1. Do your textures use mipmaps in .wtd archive? 'Cause I'm looking on Mount Chiliad, I'm not sure about this:

<le image>

Correct, there are no mipmaps, at least not for everything. In the oldgen version of gta5, R* split the first mipmap from the rest by putting them in a separate XTD file. Because OpenIV doesn't allow mipmap generation for *.DDS format, he currently left it like that.

Ah, you mean *_hi.xtd variant of displaying textures in the nearest range?

Why bunch of people don't understand simple thing like folder name. "Cache" have to be copied to the same place where is Cache folder.

Yes those files are right, they just sorted to one folder.

And they have custom suffix to avoid same name files

"A filename extension is a suffix"

There isn't a cache folder in the GTA IV directory.

There isn't a cache folder in the GTA IV directory.

Download multiplayer

Extract.

Run

Set GTA IV destination folder

Then you will see cache folder "Where you extracted those files"

Well yeah the focus is online, because you're in a thread for a MP framework that is pretty much next gen MTA and finally solves the problem of being stuck in a same map with no way to replace it.

Why are some of you so obsessed with V's map anyway? I fail to see the hype. GTAV is coming soon anyway jeez. Like a bunch of children.

But GTA V is inferior, most notably it's driving :p

Unless citizen get a singleplayer mode, forget the map on SP. Let the guy do his thing with ViIV first, then he'll probably make Citizen as something like mod manager with SP option.
