UHm again any news on gta 5 peds because thats whats going to make the biggest difference here, converting all of the peds.

Probably not going to happen, automatic bone weight assignment outside of standard modeling software could be a big mess and I doubt skeletons are compatible with IV's animations by default.

 

 

FINALLY a use for my EFLC hard copies other than for me to leech the models / textures out of. haha. So, unequivically, unconditionally, without-a-doubt it will not work with 1040/1004 hey (at least in the Alpha form)? :cookie: Wicked.

I don't see any purpose for using old versions of base IV, especially as they lack various features used by more recent modifications I've developed (setup2.xml reading, for instance).

 

 

Its pretty sexy dude nice work :D, im trying to get it to load JulioNIB's V style script and it wont for some reason tho D:

Usual script hooks should work just fine, unlike CitizenIV I'm not doing any prevention on it :)

 

 

NTA pleeeeease make elfc compatibile its not hard i guess... i'm trying to get only map with manualy editing gta.dat and images.txt of eflc with no sucess so far... you can do it easly ;)

It requires various changes to have data function properly; also EFLC support will rather be by patching GTAIV.exe to work with EFLC base files rather than supporting EFLC.exe - GTAIV.exe is obtainable from the patch 7 installer eventually anyway.

OK so i've compiled a list of bugs that need fixed:

-No collision on smaller objects like lampposts and other small things

(doesnt really matter but ill add it to the list anyways)

correct, these handle collisions in various ways currently not supported by my conversion tools (collision dictionaries, embedded collision/model combinations *and* cylinder/capsule/sphere shapes) at this time

 

-Minimap is gta 4 map texture

(I know this is kinda something arbitrary but just putting it on the list)

yeah adding all v txds would cause less img slots to be free

 

-LOD's flicker and sometimes dont appear

(blurry textured buildings, even closer up)

some buildings somehow have missing LOD chain entries, I need to do some more checking on that and draw distance order which seems to be somewhat arbitrary now; flickering can be helped a bit by messing with view distance

 

-ALOT of scripts are incompatible although julioNIB's V Style 1.2 I got to work along with the weapons pack

anything not dependent on coordinates, base scripts or direct memory addresses of various things I replace should work, though

 

-Peds are only in one section of the city the rest of the city is deserted for some reason

correct, navmeshes/paths are remnants from IV:LS as I couldn't find proper empty files for peds (and vehicles caused falling through the map to respawn at a Z value of 0, therefore infinitely falling)

 

-White textures on some things

(my guess is visible collision issues)

probably those are mostly remnants of old IV:LS props, the static geometry I converted have almost all textures properly working to my knowledge

 

-Simple Native trainer does not work at all

it should work just fine though, could be some specific version needs to be used from before some episode check was added

 

-No way to get weapons unless you kill a cop or use a mod that gives you all weapons from the start

well that'd be fixed if you get the above to work

 

EDIT:(more)

-You can fall through the map if you go to the beach

probably the seabed or something, water is a bit oddly placed and some places V uses a new type of water placement which isn't supported currently

 

-ICE enhancer 2.1 works (takes a couple of minutes to loadwill have black screen at start) but does not alter the ocean color or lighting around the ocean

bah, some future ASI version will alter the save game path *again* just for those people who use xliveless and actually play singleplayer; though MSFT xlive.dll should work if you somehow find the generic patches that will disable game integrity checks

 

(this is posted in two three blocks as retarded IPB apparently has a default setting to limit quotes, not even nested ones, *all* quotes; it also f*cked up my bbcode parsing a lot during previewing and even managed to have the post button 'load' and then do nothing, not even show an error... why do people even pay for such inferior and retarded forum software, oh and now I'm getting a 'merge_too_many_quotes',error, WHY THE FRAG DOES THIS SITE USE SUCH RETARDED FORUM SOFTWARE)

I installed EFLC and Patch 1070 once each in the last 5 years. For a grand total of about a week. I have had zero inclination to use Patch 1070 because Boris did not fix skylighting in 1070. Skylighting is the jaw-drop part of ENB graphics. But, I am sure we can do without it because this isn't just awesome. Thanks NTA!

'fix' as in 'it doesn't work at all' or 'it gives this random issue people talk about'? depending on how ENB overrides shaders that exist I could try to RE it (and relevant shader files in p4/p7) and check for shader parameter incompatibility as it's easier than maintaining everything for both p4 and p7 Edited by NTAuthority

That would take very long, converting a few peds will still cause unfixable bugs to the model, so I wouldn't expect "all". If you're interested, there are important peds being converted (fbi, firefighter,swat, and all others.) but the cop and sheriff peds are already released (with small bugs): http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/5339-gta-v-beta-cops-model-pack/

 

@NTA can't you release it to GTA4-Mods.com? The GTA V LOD Map was released there, as well as the GTA San Andreas conversion map, so I wouldn't see an issue with that.

SNE latest version works along with all the V fighting moves, V radars etc. I think most script mods work fine. Most of the bugs I've experienced have already been addressed on here but I'll post anything I find

Hey NTAuthority, I'm having issues using Steam version of GTA IV, your mod, and ENB together. I can use either your mod or ENB, but not both together. I've tried loading your mod without the dll using scripthook, same result. Ice, Packet, and I all tried to figure it out. I've reinstalled the Steam version, the only thing I've added is iCE 2.5 (modded TC, modded Shader folder, and all the enb files). I ran the game with ENB before installing your mod, worked fine. I made sure savegames was deleted, made sure settings were deleted, tried both asi files. I'm lost at this point. I do notice a pause when I start GTA IV with ENB without ViIV, it takes about 10 seconds before the music starts. When I add your mod to the mix, it starts immediately with the music then crashes when it should say "Loading..." I'm pretty stumped at this point, any advice would be nice. I see everyone else has ENB working, are you guys using Steam version of GTA IV?

Change name of xlive.dll to xlive.dlls, run the game, and switch Clip Capture (if off, change to on; if on, change to off). Then change name of xlive.dlls to dll.

How to install? please dont works for me (patch 1.0.0.7 steam version)

 

Just copy files from .rar into GTA main folder :) That's all. But if you don't have ASI loader and ScriptHook you need to install them.

There is already a shader fix for 1.0.7.0/EFLC made by Dax1&Helix and is partially working, but anyway this shouldn't be a priority here, a fix to make the mod run on EFLC would be more required,

I've narrowed it down to a Windows 8 issue I believe. I installed the disc version, patch 7, same thing. works when I try enb dll or your dll, but not both together.

Thanks for that NT Authority. I honestly have no idea what that means. I pointed iCE to the comment to see what he thought when/if he has time. Skylighting in ENB doesn't work at all via the DLL, as it does for 1040 is the understanding that I have. Casting lighting directly from the sky doesn't "truly" work in 1070 fix or not - because that has to be fixed in the d3d9.dll.

No matter whether skylighting works or not, using whatever it takes to use Los Santos on 1070 is what will happen. It's just too good not too :cookie::panic:

 

On another note: did someone actually get a trainer working? I've tried seven different version of trainers now, none work yet. Kinda lost without my phone or a trainer lol :)

Just put the folder and all directly into your c:\program files (x86)\rockstar games\grand theft auto iv\ folder.

Lol @ the amount og help me posts...

 

Anyway I will be waiting for a stable release, and as for what was said about the base gta iv, instead of cancelling out base iv support, why not make 2 versions? One for iv, and one for eflc.. I'm too poor to buy EFLC (bills and college wipe me out) and I know I'm not the only one without eflc access ... so yea.. u get my point, anyway nice work NT ;)
