Thats seems a bit drastic of a comparison. It's more like a right of passage. You gotta get yours to become a gamer because learning to deal with the sh*t other people throw your way online will only make your experience better. However some people do take it over board and do not observe the mercy rule.

 

If it never happens you end up being one of those wimps that only hide in invite only sessions because they are so afraid to deal with others. oops.. forgot to add unless you're playing with a large group of friends of course.

It depends on how they're acting. If they just have a squeaker voice but are "behaving" I just go about my business and let them go about theirs.

 

The ones who gather in groups and whine at each other and talk sh*t like they're 3 times their age. Or the ones with a sense of entitlement...the ones who think they're better than everyone, and need to learn some respect. I'll do what I can to try to teach them some. Kids like the one I came across yesterday, probably about 13 or 14, with a name along the lines of "michaelswag" and some numbers, going on about how he's "famous" and how the rest of us "basic bitches" wish we were as popular as he was, asking if his friend's sister wanted an autograph or some sh*t (then asking anyone in the server if we wanted one, quickly followed by a "JUST KIDDING, YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE"). Unfortunately he ended up leaving the server when he saw me tracking him down after he ran me over while I was in passive doing some real life sh*t (with an added "ohhhh nooooo I have to pay your super expensive hospital billllll"). He's part of our future.

 

This is what happens when parents are afraid of giving their kids the slightest amount of discipline. 5 seconds of spanking is enough to get a parent to prison in a lot of places these days, which sucks because a lot of brats need a good whooping.

I also see your point to this because you are correct, it is healthy to deal with your problems early because they form you into the person you are, whether that be a good or bad thing, and you learn from it and move on. My point to that is if you were abused in a game like GTA Online because you are young, when you get older if you continue to play video games you do the same to younger players, it is essentially the same thing as abusing your children because you were abused.

 

I know that is a bit drastic, but they are processed the same way, even if one is a video game and one is physical and emotion abuse from a family member or someone else.

 

I'm majoring is Physiological Development and we had to do a report on the similarities to being bullied at school and being abused at home, and the both affected the children in the same way years later when they were put into the position of being a parent or being a bully. In the case you're just being bullied over the game.
