Problem with paint jobs on the Gauntlet

Im trying to get a black stripe on the car with the yellow paint job but it appears that the stripe on it looks brownish in the light. Im going for the Bumble Bee look but it looks weird. Is there a way to make the stripe jet black or something?

Use matte or regular paint, the brownish is because you're using metallic paint.

 

Metallic paint is basically just the regular paint with a pearlescent already applied, so it applies the pearl to the whole body of the car including the stripe.

 

You could choose metallic yellow with black pearl and the stripe will be solid black, but the yellow won't actually be metallic.

Yeah, its you're pearlescent mucking things up, either make a black pearl or use a matte primary I guess

Make the stripe matte black as well

It's the pearlescent. Either make the pearlescent black or use classic/matte

Matte paint usually looks tacky unless it's black IMO, I'd go for classic yellow primary with classic black secondary.
