You can't have Michael's slowdown and Trevor's special is bull shark testosterone.

No, I don't see special abilities happening, but I would love to see Rockstar introduce new, special items available to specific level players.

For example, players at level 125 can purchase a new Flamethrower weapon, or at Level 225 players can mount weapons on their vehicles, like an RPG. Or maybe players at level 844, they can have a Self Destruction Nuke Device available, so those cheating toolbags can entertain us all by blowing themselves into epidermal confetti.

Just saying. ;)

Bullshark testosterone or whatever its called is basically Trevors ability & it would be interesting to see how slo mo would work in a deathmatch

lol I don't see how you could kill someone with a flamethrower unless you catch them off guard and yeah I mentioned high rank unlocks to R* to increase the longevity of the game

Would be very interesting to implement. Trevors power would make the most sense because it doesn't interfere with anyones time, but I have never played Max Payne 3 so I'm unaware how they did it in that game. Very interesting concept though.

If you were to play GTAO whilst you and your console where in a vehicle moving extremely fast , say the speed of light, then time for you would slow down enough to mimic Michael's ability.

The biggest obstacle to making this work would be maintaining broadband connection while travelling as such speeds. You'd need one incredibly long Ethernet cable...

Definitely forgot that one. That is essentially Michael's power except he shoots when you pull the trigger. Would be cool to have a Dead eye power though! Might be OP though.

I'd love to see special abilities, but the ones from SP wouldn't work. They'd have to think up some new ones.

the simple answer is no, never.

the unique abilities of the 3 protagonist rely on slowing down time in the game. you can't do that in MP.

please find a new thing to harp on endlessly. can i suggest cash cards and/or new garages?

Dead-eye in RDR was different from single player. It did the screen color change thing, but from there it was all in real time. You selected a target for a bullet to hit, and you did this for each bullet in your gun's chamber. You either did that until a target for each bullet in your chamber was selected, and then you started firing, your dead-eye meter ran out, or you stopped it manually. Once the dead-eye sequence was over you fired all the rounds at the targets you marked at super speed. There was no slow-mo at all and it was all in real time for everyone involved. Note that this was only available in the normal lobbies and was disabled in any of the hardcore targetting lobbies/deathmatches.

Michael and Franklin's abilities just wouldn't work GTA:O without creating some serious network, lag, or framerate issues for everyone involved. I'm pretty confident about that. Aside from the three main special abilities, Trevor's already being in the game, I don't see what else could be realistically added (as in programmed in) that wouldn't be a little too "super hero-y".

Not true , read my post, it's definitely possible.

C'mon , if you're travelling that fast, how will the wireless signal catch you? I'm sure you must know that, so obviously this is a poor attempt at trolling on your part. Not cool bro. Not cool. Edited by KnobCheez

If they added "Special Abilities" I would want the ability to fly and shoot lasers

They already made it work in max payne 3's multiplayer. No reason it couldn't work here. Some people selected the touch of a button slo-mo but others didn't. Everyone has the ability to jump through the air in slow motion though. It only affects players in line of sight. In fact, I think shoot dodging and slo-mo would definitely have a place in gta online if they were to put it in. But that's just my opinion

by travelling to the source of the wireless signal (now that is trolling)

and its not like your post was light years from the bridge

but chill dude, see it is cool (trolling with wordplay for bonus billy points)

and just to add if you're travelling that fast time would still pass at the normal? rate for everybody else and we would be playing GTA 8 or 9 but the time you react

back on topic

increased running speed or no need to reload your gun or maybe matrix style bullet dodge
