GTAO you mean no probs you welcome :)

OT:I think i read something relating to the ped's statement in GTA Wiki. But i doubt GTA6 will be set in a HD re-imagination of the series' Three Legendary Locations (LC,SA,VC) in that case it wouldnt be an HD re-imagined Vice City but i not Rockstar.I have a feeling Rockstar will surprise everyone with next-gen GTAs.

My guess...

GTA "6" will still be in Los Santos, Just like the last two were in Liberty City.

I understand that "Tales from Liberty city" was a collection of stories not a true sequel... But... When "GTA III: Liberty City" was released on the PS2/Xbox consoles, it was followed by "Vice City" (which should have been "GTA IV") and then "GTA San Andreas" (which should have been "GTA V")... For whatever logic we went from GTA III on the older consoles, skipped the numbers on the next two sequels and started numbering them again for two out of three games on the PS3/Xbox 360 systems...

Being that we are going to see enough gamers adopting the newer consoles by the time the next GTA title comes out, I'm betting that Rockstar will spend more effort (and less development cash) tricking out a world they have already made and probably spending more effort to make it PC/New Gen Console friendly... getting familiar with a whole new system will take time and Los Santos will fill the gap till they can put out something they feel will blow LS away...

I just cant see rockstar calling that next title "Tales from Los Santos" or "The Los Santos Chronicles" (or whatever)... Numbering the game will make it seem "fresher" from a dumb marketing perspective.

Besides... do you see us getting a new city anytime in the next 4-6 years?

The next city we get is quite a few years away, especially being that this release fell right at the introduction of the new "Next Gen Console" release.

Long, long gone are the days where we could hope for a new release every other year.

If I could fantasize what the next city would be... I'd love to see Vice City again... maybe with a prologue that takes place in the 80s, like we had had with Los Santos and North Yankton...

Tommy Vercetti's useless, douchebag son, taking up his father's falling empire after his father's death... getting revenge and taking back what other's had forced his family out of

Not a bad "coming of age" story or follow-though for a sequel to Vice City.... it could satisfy both young and old GTA fans.

I can say this though... with certainty, Rockstar has said "they have enough new ideas to last the next 20 (?) years".... so I'm taking that to mean that they have already decided (plots and characters not withstanding) what and where the next several games are going to be...

So we can do all the hoping and wishing we want, Rockstar is gonna do what rockstar is gonna do.

Still... GTA VII: Vice City.... That would be cool.

UnspokenOuch

I hope Vice City, I don't feel like going back to Liberty City or any other grey/cold looking city yet. However, I hope to see a big (really really BIG) Liberty City with a big (really really BIG) central park sometime in the next 10-15 years

I'd rather not see LC anytime soon at all. Closest thing to LC ill tolerate would be Carcer City

Lol Liberty City is to GTA the way Ryu is to Street Fighter, some of us might hate LC but no matter what that the Heartbeat Location of GTA and anytime it is revisited it always GRITTY,GROUNDED IN REALISM and SO Unique, btw if the next-gen is set in LC,i am sure it will be the HD Era (IV's Rendition) but on next-gen,with superb graphics and i am sure Star Junction wil get bigger than ever with many peds, but i myself dont want LC to show up again until 3/4 GTA games later. My best bet is that for the PS4/XB1 Era of GTA,Rockstar wouldnt count up to #6 for a while just like the way VC (2002) and SA (2004) were in between III and IV and the TLAD,TBoGT and Chinatown Wars (2009s) were in between IV an V (but TLAD and TBoGT were episodic "DLC" games) plus the HD Era will continue.I think the Cities GTA didnt visit or re-imagine in future,GTAO will do but like i said before i am not Rockstar,so who knows this is just my own opinion.

I doubt that the next game in the series will be in Liberty City, just because Rockstar are too ambitious for that. They always strive to make the next game in the series bigger, better, and more original than the last, and the only way to accomplish that would be to reimagine another city. I may be wrong, but it just seems like a bad idea to do another Liberty City. Plus there are other cities in america that are just as interesting, if not moreso, than New York, and NYC is just so overdone in games anymore.

Personally i would like to see Rockstar turn the gun on themselves, so to speak, and make a London based GTA. London is a huge city with some great neighborhoods that would be interesting to play around in, plus Rockstar could parody a culture they're more familiar with, so the jokes and satire would be more genuine.

If not that, a game set in Las Venturas would be awesome. Perhaps a story involving the comission warring over the last mob casinos or something.

I don't know how many times I've completed the series 100% xD but I remember quite well that R* had hidden easter eggs that said where next GTA will be...

In GTA III, there was a mission where you had to drive Ray to the airport through the tunnel and he gave you a key for his lockup (sry for spoiler). There you found some Ray's things he saved for you. He paged you to say something about Patriot in the lockup and at the end of message there was a text which I remember very well: "See you in Miami".

Same thing happened in GTA SA (not exactly the same) but most of the storyline characters mentioned Liberty City. R* told us through the game that next game(GTA IV) will be in Liberty City.

For GTA V I'm not sure..

I work as a Rockstar janitor and I over heard the CEO talking about GTA VI. It's set in San Andreas again and this time the main character is Big Bear from the original GTA: San Andreas. Your main objective is to make those motherf*cking toilets sparkle.

Good point after SA came LCS which was in LC if people care about the stories games...

After V im thinking that the next GTA whatever its called is gonna take place somwhere in the midwest like Carcer City just because of how it started up in North Yankton and how Michael,Trevor, and Lester are from the Midwest and mention it Michael with his first job in Carcer City and Trevor speaking about growing up in the Canadian border area of America which im thinking he's talking about any place in the Midwest and then smuggling things across the border. I might be looking too much into this but Rockstar already f*cked up tradition by choosing to go to LS in V instead of Vice city so who knows what Rockstar is gonna do next they might set it in Somalia where we can be Somalian pirates
