Pistol Masochism?

Does anybody else like to do missions / gang attacks only using their pistol (or limiting themselves to another weapon)?

 

This has given the game a new lease of life for me.

 

Also, when in free roam I am increasingly leaving my garage full and using cars I find on the streets - which makes things allot more exciting.

I wish we had the option to do gang attacks stealthily. Even if you kill a gang member with a silenced pistol from a distance the whole world gets alerted.

I've always been a fan of making my life more difficult for myself.

 

I'm a big fan of the combat pistol, I play on auto-aim and it locks on nearly as far as some of the rifles and machine guns and fires very accurately shot after shot. Pegging headshots on players with the pistol is very satisfying and when the game annouces to the player "so and so pistoled you" it's an extra embarrassment for them, even if they repay it with auto-shotgun death, I mean, who's really the chump here, amirite?

Sometimes I use the pistol that you were given by that shady dude Lamar when you first started GTA O. Its quite a challenge when using it in missions such as LS Connection.

I've started using my .50 again. It's quite satisfying to kill a player with one shot to the head when they have a fully modded pink SMG/rifle

Not that difficult man, maybe with a mouse and keyboard but no way am I free aiming with a sixaxis controller.

I like doing missions with my mates where we restrict ourselves to a pistol. Usually the SNS pistol. It requires a different strategy, especially if you put on top that we always want to finish the mission together. Meaning if we loose to many and one ends up spectating we consider it mission failed and the rest commits suicide to restart.

I tried walking the streets with a pistol (free aim) yesterday.

 

Basically, two seconds later a chrome Entity fag starts shooting at me. I return fire. Then the cops swarm me. I have no getaway vehicle because GTA:O has only 2 vehicles spawn for an entire map and cops kill me in four seconds.

 

Waste of my time. R* sucks.

I use the pistol Lamar gifted me in gang fights, because it just looks cool. Also on free-aim.

I'm pretty much a failure when I comes to Pistols. I use the AP excessively (pretty nooby, to be honest), but I also switch to the Combat Pistol during Survivals. Normally though, I'm running around with a Combat MG. Fav gun the game.

I've been trying to limit myself to just the plain pistol with only a couple of the attachments. Works great for killing people in their cars. 1-3 in or around the head and they're done.
