**Meant to type physics instead of psychics! LOL Sorry.**

For a long time now ever since the Annihilator and Buzzard flying physics has changed in GTA V/Online it's been harder to dogfight with them

things you can do in GTA IV/ballad

1. Dropshot

2. Rush

3. Sidewind

4. Sidewind Drop

5. Aim properly

things you can't do in GTA V/Online properly

1. Can't Dropshot properly

2. Can't Rush properly

3. Can't Sidewind properly

4. Can't Sidewind Drop properly

5. Can't Aim properly between 1-4

You can't even keep your mini gun on a moving target on the road. thats how bad it is.

Even the Lock-on feature is annoying and that should be disabled in Freeaim for crying out loud!

And that crosshair is ugly and should have an option to change it to simple (dot)

you can pretty much tell the Pilot Community is still alive in GTA IV. If Rockstar changed the flying physics in GTA/V online to GTA IV's flying physics. we could see GTA V/Online having more pilots

"Drop shot " immediately thought of COD. that was such a scumbag tactic in that sh*t game it's like the equivalent of using the rolling system in IV/V(but atleast it's understandable)

I used to challenge the Buzzard spammers in TBoGT they would always try so hard to blow up my Police Stinger...

Those are skills used by pilots. and now can't be used in GTA Online.

Play Black Ops 2. Jump shot is the new drop shot and it's A LOT worse lol

I understand, but I think flying psychics would be really game breaking for GTA. Hell they're even OP, as far as most pokemon are concerned, in pokemon.

it's when a pilot hovers down his heli and shoots you up. u can't do that in GTA V

Circle your targets In a helicopter. I've seen people keep crosshairs fixed on a specific point while rotating. Use lifeguard stands on beach for practice.

Nope, skipped Black Ops 2 but the jump shot was also used in MW3, I know its also cheap to use but a great way to surprise campers in search and destroy(only thing I liked in that game)

No, I was just referring to the term "drop shot" as it was a very popular term that was used in that game

Yes, I understood the context. Its the specific manoeuvres you're referring to that I'm unsure about. I'd probably know them if you'd described them since I've been flying copters in games for a lot of years.

I voted no. It took some getting used to but I'm ok with O now. I might not be able to hover with just my radar above the ridge line marking multiple targets in priority order but realism isn't always the same as fun. If I can arc missiles in through the hanger door at zancudo I'm happy enough. I wish the bob would climb faster while carrying a yacht but that's just me.

Edit: I see you described drop shot. Seems like that would still work...

You can change your crosshair from Complex to Simple in the settings. I actually like the new flying physics in GTA V. Feels more realistic and its really not a problem if you know how to fly. The only problem with this game is the current glitches/bugs and hiest are not out yet. Also I think some jobs could use a money pay out boost, or lower the price on most of the things.

changing the crosshair doesn't affect the inside view of your helicopter/jet

Yea but these physics with good practice made helis flying tanks and it was annoying to have all these pilots circling with having nothing to resist.Even if when you shot their heli they would leave, pick up health and come back.

Dropshot? The f*ck is this CoD sh*t?
You know what was bullsh*t in GTA IV that no one liked? When you dropped on top of your opponent in his copter to chop his tail off, you see it fall, sparks emit where his tail was but he keeps on flying with half the chopper he had! But when they do it to me, I'm f*cking spinning around and vomiting all over myself.

GTA V physics are fine as they are. You get used to it. I was pretty good at GTA IV dog fights (still am yet a bit rusty) but I'm now good at GTA V dog fights. One thing that does annoy me that makes every fight a bit "sad" is the lock-on. It's so easy to lock on and avoid rockets, sure, but if one of you get the lock on and get a hit it's pretty much a win at that point. In GTA IV you would get shot up and smoke but if you managed to break his tail, grab a health pack or make him crash you would win. Or, in Gay Tony, you could hop out your heli on top of him and parachute down to safety in hopes your heli dropped perfectly on him, ruining his blades and he'd jump out but somehow died. That happened to me once and it's my proudest air fight moment in gaming.

Let's not change the jet, though, that one is perfect as it is.
I'm thinking the Buzzard should keep the lock on but the annihilator should have a 4-5 rocket-after-rocket launch from each side so a total of 8-10 rockets in a short burst with a reload time. It would make the anni fair and usable in fights. Or go with Gay Tony and give it explosives rounds (does it have those, I never use it in GTA V, got myself a Buzzard).

They were OP and easy to fly in IV, but then again, there's tanks in V.

That being said, you can avoid tanks very easily, being chased by an over-powered Buzzard won't be so easily avoided.

It's fine as it is.

Fail_At_GTA

The Buzzard in GTA 5 is just absolute sh*t. Back in GTA 4 I could shoot other people out of their Buzzards in less than 2 seconds and kill someone on the ground (depending on their location) in less than 5 seconds and it was great. But now in GTA 5 you cant even fly straight, even with your flying maxed out. Rockstar should scrap the GTA 5 flying physics completely and revert back to the way they were in GTA 4.

The flying physics were also better in IV, I got used to them in this game, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ones in the previous game.

i really hate how people outside of expirence of what we pilots are talking about here put in their vote blindly. people who have never flown in gta 4, or people who never got good at flying, vote with ignorance, and some are even admiting to it! i understand that to your standards you think gta 5 has good flying mechanics, but gta 4 has better, if you dont agree with me then you never learned how to fly, or you got butt hurt too many times by us. and here we go with this age old sh*t where people try and tell us that the choppers shouldnt be realistic because its not a simulation..... well all we asked for was gta 4 mechanics back, not realisim. if its not a simulation then why did rockstar add turbulance to an ah-6 little bird ( buzzard )! we want the realisim REMOVED. i am so sick of this level up, rank up, unlockable items to make a noob feel like a good gamer movement!!! and major companies like rockstar are going to listen to the whiney, losing, suck at playing, give me a trophey for losing NOOBS, , because just like anything out there only the few can be great, and the underlings will always be owned. but the greats are out numbered, and to rockstar its all about the money baby. so all of you rank ,and level crutch, handicapped noobs out there, enjoy gta 5 and always know, if you wanna hang with the big boys and grow some balls come to gta 4, and if not just go rank up up unlock and spend your idiotic gta cash without me!!!

We should spread this thread across GTA IV/Episodes MP who are still piloting on PS3 and Xbox360. The power of the original pilot community shall commence

Adapt. I've seen some amazing Buzzard and Annihilator pilots in GTA V, so it's not impossible to use these things. The turbulence isn't that bad either because you'll get used to it as time goes by.

I've flown the Buzzard a lot in TBOGT and that thing was the ultimate noob vehicle. Complete stability, along with the endless barrage of missiles, made up for the most annoying trolls in Free Roam.

Changing the flying physics for both helicopters was absoutley the right decison, as someone who used the buzzard often it did get out of control. The killing became ridiculous GTAV fixed this. Now its harder for kids to spam. I know they now use tanks however the tank doesnt fly so its less of a pain

I love finding these people using only the buzzard. I always get the annihilator and cream them. If you can dodge the rockets by simply strafing then you're clear. It's so funny to see them get blown up within five seconds of me shooting at them because they probably thought they were safe behind auto lock.
