If you pull up next to an NPC's car at a set of traffic lights, do a burnout and beep your horn NPC's will race you, some of them drive pretty good lol..

Sorry if repost - searched, couldn't find another post about it. I'm sure some people might already know this, but I'm sure alot also don't and will enjoy it.

Yes. I do It all the time. Doesn't really work when you're driving a tank though

Usually you just have to rev the engine

You of ALL people... *crowd gasps* *random woman in background faints*

I'd like to add that there's 2 groups of racers set up in the canals during night time. Yesterday while I was flying through the canals in single player I actually saw 2 of the cars take off and race side by side, not sure if they race in Online too though. They're also aggressive when provoked.

I knew this info, but when I tried it early on, it never worked for me.

Glad to know it works and I'll absolutely give it a try!! Been wanting to do this!

Thanks for the confirmation, OP! ;)

That was known before the game even came out just FYI

Yea, someone figured this out early on.

Ooh, that's neat!

I've never seen it or seen anyone talking about it.

I think it just makes them drive fast because they are scared.

But seriously, this seems to be what's actually happening.

I tried it, it only works if you're in a sports or super car and the NPC is in a sports or super car.

From my experience, it seemed to work for all passenger cars.

I used to do this all the time in my modded Asterope. I beat an NPC driven F620, which was pretty cool! Wish there were better roads for this type of activity.
