Has this happened to anyone else?

So I spawned at the Sandy Shores hospital after dying in a car chase as Michael with Trevor and Franklin riding in the wings. I went around the back and picked up the body armor that spawns there, and then stole a nearby ATV. As I was driving by Trevor's trailer, I figured I'd switch to him and see if he was there, which he was. I went outside in time to see Michael turn the corner and begin to ride away, which is normal procedure whenever you switch to protags close by.

 

Here's where things got interesting.

 

For sh*ts and giggles, I decided to take a couple pot shots at Mike with a sniper rifle. The shots didn't register, but he sped off off yelling "You're a maniac Trevor" or something to that effect. Right after that I proceeded to do my habitual killing of Ron for being Ron loitering outside Trevor's trailer. This time around, he died via grenade launcher. Without fail, I obtained a wanted level, so I decided i'd hide out in the trailer and lie in wait for the police.

 

But they didn't come.

 

They still had my position (mini map was flashing blue and red) but none of the squad cars were heading in my direction. I brought up the map in the pause menu to make sure I was seeing it right. Lo and behold, they were going in the exact opposite direction. Feeling puzzled, I decided to leave the trailer to see what would happen. My wanted level was still at 2 stars but the police didn't have my exact location yet so the vision cones were visible, and the stars were flashing. What happened next left me like this.

 

I stood outside and admired Ron's charred body for a few seconds before I noticed that the police were finally heading my way. One squad car was on the same street and it's cone of vision washed over me, so I prepared to duke it out. Not only did the wanted level remain flashing, the car went right by me as if I was a pedestrian. Bewildered, I turned to look in the direction in which it was heading to see where the hell it was going.

 

Next thing I know, Michael comes careening around the corner on the stolen ATV yelling "gimme a break" with two squad cars behind him. The nearest one rams him off of the ATV and he goes skidding across the ground. You already know what happens next, because it's happened to every single GTA V player at least once. Before Mike even begins to get up, the cops exit their cruisers swiftly and pump him full of lead. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but right after they neutralized him, I lost the wanted level.

 

I only had time to snap one decent picture before they dispersed.

 

 

 

I flipped his body via pump shotgun to see if I could get a shot of his face, but the suit is a dead giveaway (no pun intended)

 

In hindsight I should have switched to Michael right after the ordeal, to see if he would spawn at the Sandy Shores hospital again, and to see if I could replicate this.

 

Long story short: Spawned as Michael in Sandy Shores, stole an ATV, switched to Trevor who was at his trailer, got a wanted level for killing Ron as Trevor, cops chased after Michael instead and killed him, ignoring Trevor's misdeeds.

 

Has something like this happened to anyone else?

I had a similar event, where Trevor got shot by the sheriff's department whilst I was playing as Michael.

I had something similar happen, but not with two protagonists.

 

I was playing as Trevor, and I wanted to see if it was possible to run around Los Santos with Wade (it is, but only in the mission Hang Ten). I took him to Micheal's house and went inside. Michael wasn't there, so I proceeded to destroy all the chairs, tables and decorations with shotgun blasts, hoping that I'd get a text message from Michael to ask me to stop doing that.

 

After every shot, Wade would say something like, "That ain't nice, Trevor!" or he'd call me an assface. Once I had fired a certain number of shots, I got a two star wanted level. I waited until the cops came, then started picking them off with a sniper rifle, which increased my wanted level to three or four stars.

 

Instead ofgoing after me, one of the cops came in the front door and shot Wade like ten times, which killed him.

And people say that there isn't enough blood. Just look at his damn body! You can even see the bullet holes if you look very closely.

 

 

Anyway, this sounds wicked. But I've never went through anything like that. The only thing I have done was when I was franklin, I went to the downtown area near those big shopping malls and switched to Michael to get him there, and finally they met and Mike was like, "what a coincidence Franklin". I immediately attacked him just to see what would happen and Mike killed Frank!

Has anyone had something like this happen in one of the older games? I ask because something weird happened to me in GTA IV yesterday.

 

Jacob called and asked if I wanted to see a show, so I said sure. When I brought him back to his apartment, he said he wanted to do it again sometime. Suddenly, without any warning, Jacob punched Niko in the face, kicked him out of the car, then slid over into the driver's seat. Niko (who was laying on the ground) then said something like, "You idiot!"

 

Afterwards, I got a 'like' status from Jacob even though he assaulted me and tried to steal my car.

Once i was in a cop war as Franklin. I saw a man in a gray suit running away. I thought to myself "no witnesses!!" So i turned to kill him. I aimed at him and fired. It wouldnt shoot. I ran after him and pratfalled onto him to make him fall. All of a sudden i heard Michael say "F**k off!!!" He got up and it was michael!!

It reminds me of how sometimes in GTA Online you can obtain a wanted level even if someone else caused the crime (E.g. obtaining a 3 star wanted level because another player/ a cop in the vicinity blew up a car) Heres an example right at the start of this video:

Ryan got a 3 star wanted level because a cop blew up his Titan. And this happens a few times throughout this video
