You know in single-player, you hear the police siren off while you get out of the car.

but in ONLINE, when you get off the car. you still hear the sirens.

Is this a bug?????

I've had a bug occasionally in multiplayer since day one. I don't know what triggers it but when it bugs out I hear distant police sirens (like one block away) and there's no cops there and that sound follows me wherever I go (it won't go away until I restart the game). It usually starts in free roam multiplayer and stays during missions as well! I haven't been able to identify what triggers that bug...

I think the on-line version of the police siren bug occurs when cops arrive at the scene of a crime and end up leaving their car behind with the siren on. For some reason some police cars remain on your map no matter where you go. I too get annoyed by the constant distant-sounding siren(s). If you remember any locations where police were summoned, and go back to those places, then you can enter the police car(s) and turn off the siren(s). That has fixed the problem for me on several occassions. Of course in my case I was usually playing in a private session with friends, so it was not hard to figure out where the cops were called to. Therefore, in a public free roam session you might never find the abandoned police cars to turn their sirens off. It also helps to not kill off the police officers because that will guarantee their cars will be abandoned rather then be driven off in.

You have to turn off the sirens in empty police cars. If you see an empty police car with the sirens on either blow it up or hop in and hit the horn.
