GTA V the worst, good looking game ever made?

Why when you aim through your sniper at vehicle far away you can hear it? Your sniper makes things louder? The rolling and the aiming mechanism in this game is terrible. Even if you aim at someones head from a far distance they will bleed clouds of blood until you need to reload and they will still be alive. The driving in this game is terrible . This game seems to have been purposely been made bad but disguised as good to the eye. will GTA 6 be any better? Probably not, I feel as if GTA4 will be the last Grand Theft Auto to actually require skill and learning to play efficiently, except for all you that use "Turbos". Other than the fact that obvious bugs in the game GTA V that were maybe purposely made for some reason like hearing things further away when you're sniping but random echos of screaming people that dont exist in the game when you're causing havoc, the consistent degrading comments that pedestrians make saying things like "you're scum of the earth!", the terrible radio stations that preach random nonsense that just feels bad for your mind, and the negative attitudes in the clothes stores when you're "shopping". GTA V what is your motive? This game is terrible in my opinion, and if i play it ever again i may only snipe because it seems to be the only bugged operation that works effectively in this game. What is your opinion now, you think im just hating or do you agree but still want to play anyway? Whichever, the choice is yours.

I have to say that I'm quickly beginning to agree. I've been a little obsessed with GTA V lately, but then I started watching some videos that I made of GTA IV and realized that I've been trying to get V to be its replacement and it's just not worthy. So now I'm pretty sad about that.

 

Most of GTA V is about people matching up vehicles and colors, and taking pictures. This is what hardcore gamers do? What happened to competition and rivalry? Rockstar has talked about how crews are meant to build rivalries, but the only rivalries I've seen are those fighting over color coordination and seeing who can position all of their cars in specific stances and salute at the same time for a photo op.

 

This kind of thing was fun in the beginning, but now it's just getting kind of sad. Five years from now, are we still going to be taking selfies to show off our "macho" crews? Racing doesn't mean much either, because everyone has custom vehicles and if you crash, you just flip over your vehicle. No reason to learn how to drive well, in other words. Death matches are still kinda cool, but they don't incorporate vehicles like Mafiya Work and Cops 'N Crooks did in IV. Those two game modes took years to master and had so many nuances that they never got boring. Heck, I spent an entire year mastering the helicopter in Mafiya Work … but this game simply doesn't have that kind of learning curve.

 

Rockstar recently posted a video of a death match and said "In this action-packed death match…" I almost choked on my dinner … action-packed translated to a guy running around and shooting people in free aim. That's it. I've made nearly 150 Mafiya Work videos that had much more exciting action than that. Some guy just running around and shooting people with a gun -- and nothing else???? -- is extremely boring.

Basically, it seems that GTA V was made for the masses who don't really want spend time to master a game or even a skill. They simply want to soup up cool looking cars and play dress-up. lol

I couldn't agree more, and you're right it's sad. When I first saw footage for the game I won't lie, my expectations were high. It wasn't only because of the footage though, that was just the icing on the cake, it was added onto my experience from GTA IV and when the game was released and the hype wore off I was disheartened because this game could have been so much more than what it was, if only they hadn't tried to please everyone The best I can hope for now is that Rockstar sees that trying to please everyone results in your game being a horribly shallow disappointment and that they steer themselves back on course.

GTA 5 and GTA online could have been so much more. In gta 5, wouldn't it be fun to play basketball with Franklin and go hangliding with Michael? In GTA online, it never states in the title gta 5 online. They could add new cities, like las venturas and San fierro, among others. If my Xbox could handle SA which had much more content, Rockstar is just being lazy. Well, not lazy, but can you think of a better word?

I couldn't agree more, and you're right it's sad. When I first saw footage for the game I won't lie, my expectations were high. I don't care much for the glitches and bugs but I do agree about the value of skill in this game. Unfortunately, most games are making the phase to "easily playable" nowadays. Simply because a wider audience means more money. This is inarguably the truth because a game will sell less if a player ends up losing over and over and it's too hard to figure out.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good challenging game that slaps me across the face and calls me Susan. But personally as a gamer with intent to stay a gamer I say f*ck it and just go along for the ride.

On topic. I somewhat agree with the Op. After as many hours as I have, it is becoming a little stale. As he points out many of the mechanics are downright shoddy, while the game itself looks fantastic. Anyone who doesnt agree that some of the mechanics are off, are just being fanboi and aren't really worth arguing with. Fanbois love what they love and even if the game broke today and was unplayable for a week, would still fanboi rather than be seen as "whiner". I mean really, Sniping through a lens increases your hearing? Sure its kinda cool, but its not a correct mechanic at all. To deny this, is to admit being a fanboi. You aim at an enemy (with auto aim at least) and you auto to a cop or NPC a block away? Tanks that take 20 stickies to blow up? Seriously, thats correct mechanics? Only if you are the one in the tank, trolling. Punch a guy and 1 star cops dont even bother to question, but rather just shoot you in the face! Bad mechanics.

 

Of course some of this in nit picking, but after 20 days in game all these little things begin to be more glaring. Its fine to just play on, but to just ignore it and act as if this game is perfection (Being crass and ignorant in forums to bolster your stance) is simply put stupid. Its not "whining" to find faults in the game. Its "whining" to respond to it with standard fanboi arguments.

OP this game here ^ ffs ultimate realism the graphics are beyond me i mean you can actually hold it physically whether far or upclose damn son the graphics stay the same and only costs llike 50 cents its also multiplayer too and game sharing enabled not bad i strongly suggest this game if gta5 does not suit you.

This isnt the same as the ability to drink milk. I dont think the op is saying he doesnt like the game. Are there not aspects of the game, you simply don't like? Most people who buy games, dont play them first. Do you sample every title before you drop money on it? How will you know which foods you do like, if you dont first try them? Your argument, is a standard fanboi argument. But you fail to see how your own words, don't fit your assertions.

Then you have to consider that if no one ever complains, how will anything change? There are surely points in this title you disagree with, so would you not like to see a change in those things? How will it ever change, if you all you do is criticize those who are critical? Have you ever been to a movie, that you really weren't enjoying? Did you just up and leave or try to make the best of it, while then complaining about how bad it was later? In fact I have seen many in this thread, complain about other things in game or people both here and in game. Why do you keep coming to this forum, when you know people will post things you dont like? Whats the difference? I mean at least here you didnt have to pay, so walking away wouldnt/shouldnt be a bother for you.

This game is annoying and bugged but it is still fun. If Rockstar really cares, we'll see something great happen later through the year. If not then most of us will most likely move on to other games.
