1.12 Speculation Thread

Rockstar promised that Heists would be released by the end of the first quarter of 2014 (for those who do not know, business quarters start and end every 3 months), which obviously is coming up fast.

 

At this point I'm more interested in seeing how Rockstar breaks the news that they were unable to deliver the heists in the time they previously announced. Granted they are very capable of releasing heists before Tuesday, April 1st but it is extremely unlikely.

 

I and many others haven't put much hope in heists because in reality everyone is getting there hopes up for nothing, So what do you guys think 1.12 will bring? Possible the new three leaked car, maybe a fix on the server side issues, unlocking the 3rd character slot, or even heists or the new mission creator?

 

EDIT: Also, possibly a perfect time for Rockstar to release an update would be on the 1st, since it is not only a Tuesday, which most updates are released on Tuesdays, but it is also Aprils Fools.

R* is part of TakeTwo and their financial/business year is from 1 April to 31 March.

Rockstar have never promised a release date for heists.

Also, Take-Two PREDICTING (for share holders btw) and Rockstar PROMISING are two totally different things....

Financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March......

 

Also, this date was announced before all the problem with on-line were resolved. Expecting Rockstar (or any games company in a similar position) to be able to stick to their original plans is rather expectant.

A couple of things:

 

1. You had me at "Rockstar promised..." I remember when people used to say that about Apple Computer. "They promised to released the new OS..." Why one might think a company would make guaranteed promised to release anything, post-product release, is unclear. Don't ever believe in other people's promises. The fact is, Rockstar does what Rockstar does and we are left to embrace or denounce it. Right?

 

2. People are flaming the OP for posting a speculation thread. Why? Did you also flame the other 49,999 million other people that posted similar threads? If you don't want to contribute, fine, but don't be a toolbag and make someone feel like a hobo for posting a simple discussion topic. Re-read your reply and ask, "did I contribute anything valuable or was I just being a toolbag?" u c?

I think it's safe to give up on heists now, if they do happen to be released at some point then great, but otherwise you're just hurting yourself by waiting constantly for something that just isn't part of the current game
