I dunno if this is worth bringing up, but I haven't seen some of the interiors ingame like the ones at 0:57 and 1:04. They could be beta, who knows.

Probably yes. It seems to be diiferent from other weapons. Can't tell how good it is but this is what rifle performs better at things in order, best to last (PSP game.dtz):

Firing Rate: AK-47, Ruger, M4

Reload: Ruger, AK-47, M4

Damage: AK-47, M4, Ruger

 

 

Completely unrelated to LCS, there's a seamine weapon line in VCS. Yes. A seamine.

you are right, that must be linked to something, because in the game, that warehouse was detailed and never used in any of missions. so knowing that r* has the laziest modellers, that meant to be used for something.

Maybe a leftover from San andreas Seamine, yeah, there is one Unused seamine if you didn't know, round, rusty and spiky, i spawned it in MTA map editor, like a Prop, i cant remember if it explode or not

there are mdl importers, but i never heard about a mdl exporter, you are dreaming about about betalizing GTA LCS, but the closest thing you can get is a LCS PC edition Betafied, with all the things shown in this topic

LCS/VCS modding REALLY needs to be revived. People have been doing model swaps but this is so old that nearly all program download links are gone. Shame really, there is a lot of interesting stuff in stories games. There isn't even a proper .scm tool available (there might be one seeing as Dageron's LCS translation has a heavily modified script but I couldn't find anything at all)...

 

 

There is a little possibility of the Ruger model still being there since it seems that some model and texture numbers are mismatched, but I'm way too lazy and impatient to go through all these crashes to spawn the weapon, let alone find the right hex value.

My bet would be because of the fact they're not on PC (though that would probably further decrease modding activity for PS2/PSP). Console modding isn't as common as PC modding and the "Stories" GTA's have mostly different formats and basically half of the forum hasn't even heard of LCS and VCS (some even confuse LCS with EFLC). At least LCS/VCS do have something though - Chinatown Wars has pretty much nothing to mod it, it seems.

 

I wish there would be a working .scm editor for LCS/VCS. It is possible to play PS2 scripts (.gxt's too!) on PSP game so removing these random/set crashes on PS2 exclusives, eventually creating PS2 stuff working on PSP, would be heaven for me (map editor to include the building easter egg on PSP would be neat too, but that probably can be done already).

Same goes for all the other things. Caddy Daddy crashed for me as I picked up the checkpoint under the bridge. Playground on the Docks works fine. Rush! crashes whenever the mission fails - dunno about pass and apparently PS2 exclusive vehicle purchase icons and USJ's don't work. I guess they wanted to improve the game for re-release.

Money? It's always about money. "Lets release PS2 exclusives, so people buy the game for PS2."

 

Same thing happens today with GTA V on PS3 VS PS4. All the sh*t on PS4 can easily be on PS3, but they choose to make it separate on PS4. Why? Money. So people buy it.

 

But like WildBrick has said, LCS/VCS is really good games....That nobody seems to know dick about. There is only a select few people I can actually have a convo about LCS/VCS with, cuz usually everyone is obsessing over the popular, new HD Era which will never top 3D Era...

 

Long live the classics with the true GTA Spirit...
