Do you wish there was a NASCAR/paved racetrack in GTA V?

I was kinda hoping there would be some type of racetrack, like a NASCAR track somewhere in the GTA V map. I looked it up and the Auto Club Speedway is pretty much in the city of Los Angeles. It would be fun to be able to race here and maybe watch races, as the Vinewood Racetrack is mostly for horse racing.

What do you think? I think it would be a cool little addition to the map.

And please do not move this post to the Patch/DLC Wishlist topic... :facedesk:

Yeah I actually wish they had some NASCARS in GTA V, but they're just cars with high BHP and heavy decals with no headlights; and that's perfectly fine lol.

Yeah it would be pretty cool to have some type of stock car/F1 car. The closest thing we have to that is Franklin's buffalo.:)

OMG it's another left turn. Rinse and repeat 500 times.:p

Yeah I think it would be pretty cool. Sometimes I use the horse track if I want to do some oval work. It's kind of like Martinsville except on dirt.

It would be a nice thing to add, as for now, the roof on the Maze Bank Arena makes a good substitute, you can get your car up there using a Cargobob.

A race track that isn't a stupid elipse would be fine.

I could care less about Nascar in real life but I welcome any new activities we can partake in! The arena events in San Andreas were a blast too so this would be a good one. That said, I think the Redlights dirt track opening would be more likely.

Couldn't you just race around the Blaine County Prison? (Bolingbroke Penitentiary).

Like what you do in Criminal Records...

I wouldn't want a nascar track for two reasons:

1) the Vinewood Racetrack and the circle thing around Bolingbroke Penitentiary would serve the same purpose as a nascar track.

2) Nascar isn't even that decent of a sport to watch. It's just rednecks turning left.

Juan Montoya

F1 - 94 starts, 7 wins (one was at Monaco in 2003)

NASCAR - 253 starts, 2 wins (both on road courses)

Maybe turning left is harder than it looks? Let's ask JPM.

Yep, harder than it looks.

R* could add a track like Daytona International Speedway, which is a 2.5 mile super speedway with a road course that uses parts of the main track and goes through the infield.

Heck, just bring back the arena events from Vice City and San Andreas

LOL yeah I liked Montoya but I guess it's a good thing he's went to Indy Cars where he belongs.

Anyway I agree, NASCAR takes skill especially at Daytona & Talladaga.

They should just add the Willow Springs track. It's in Southern California, very close to LA I believe. It's a proper race track, nothing like Nascar.

Slightly off topic.

I used to find NASCAR boring, but I started to watch it on a regular basis in 2011 and I must say it opened my eys. It's actually quite technical to see how the crew chiefs, teams and drivers adjust to track condition and try to keep up over the course if a race.

Australia's own Marcos Ambrose was a gun in the V8 Supercars, but since going over to NASCAR has only found form on road courses like JPM. I think it's much more difficult than its stereotype suggests. You have to watch a few races IMO to actually appreciate how smart these guys are.

Btw Dale Jr for 2014 champ.;)

Yeah I started watching at the end of 2006 and Dale Jr. has been my favorite ever since.

Yeah, it would be great if they added Auto Club or/and Sonoma!

I can't understand why they didn't added a race track when they developed the game. It's becoming boring to drive around the damn horse track and the prison all the time!!

Sonoma is way the heck north of San Francisco, but Auto Club would have made sense and it also has a road course on the infield. And it's in the LA area.

Give me a road course instead if I wanted to drive in circles for hours, I'd just use the Airstrip in Sandy Shores or the Airfield. Then Rockstar could focus their attention on something worthwhile.

It would have been nice to do track racing and get our cars up to top speed safely without traffic.

Oh ho.  But we DO have a stock car like NASCAR ran years ago.  The Declasse Hotring Sabre.  Ownable for $830,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.

Unfortunately, Dale Jr. has since retired and Ambrose has returned to The Land Down Under for a second stint in V8 Supercars.

Junior Nation has since disappeared and Ambrose has since returned to V8 Supercars.
