Did you ever use the backup Helicopter?

So,did you ever use the backup Heli from merryweather?

I did once but instead of shooting enemy Players he started shooting at random things and Cops...kinda useless for what?5.000 Dollars?

yea, waste of money. They're worse than the helis in survival mode.

They should really buff some things merryweather offers.

Mercenaries can't chase anyone in their Mesa,the airstrike mostly kills me instead of other Players and the Backup Heli shoots Cops...

only have used it once. overheard some people in chat needing a ride to where their other friends were so i phoned, shot the pilot and delivered it to them. some might say it was a waste of money, but i don't mind if it's something to help people have fun. although the funny thing is they didn't realized it was me who brought it to them, they thought it was one of their friends.

 

IMO being helpful and showing kindness in GTA:O is a thankless job.

The Backup Helicopter is infinitely useful during survival if all my teammates have been killed and its late in the game. It's pretty much the only time I CAN use it, since there's always that one asshole teammate that shoots it down thinking it's a enemy chopper, EVEN AFTER I SHOOT THEM A TEXT FIRST TELLING THEM IT'S FRIENDLY.

I've used it a couple of times on those long boat delivery missions - if nothing else it serves as a good distraction for all the NPC boats/helicopters.

 

Definitely not worth the price though.

Is it worth the money, not really it's terrible against real players, but they destroy cops. its fun when you are by yourself and need have 4+ stars. instead of calling Lester you can get a backup helicopter to team up with you when there is nobody else around

I like to play all missions by myself, very useful if you are on at sea tailed by a chopper and a couple of boats.

In free roam its useless.

I've used it a couple a times to prevent a outright mission failure. Such as during the Los Santos connection everyone died (but me) while trying to hack the computer so I had to finish the rest of the job all by myself. Could not have done it without some backup. Another one involved stealing a couple packages of Meth by the river for Trevor.

It a waste of money to use in free roam because they won't kill other players.

 

Only use them during missions and survival i always use them in the missions where the helicopters are trying to kill you they take care of the enemy helicopters so we can get away.

Use it sometimes for distraction as most enemies will start focusing on shooting the chopper down which then makes it easy for me to kill em' all but I don't use it very often. Too poor

That's what they are for. Shooting cops. Nothing more. They are pretty handy for that if you are hunkered down in some free mode pvp and for whatever reason dont want to let the cops kill you.

I call it when missions start you from the other side of the map and everyone else drives the whole damn way. Call a heli.

 

Or in missions like the jury one I call a heli to fly guy to guy after then drive

I once used it in some gang attacks for a laugh, but they suck really.

 

I also used it in free roam when i first unlocked it but ofc players kill it instantly

I use it when I feel like it could make a useful diversion. I don't think its ever really done much for me, but its nice to have something when you're trying to... well...

Actually,I did and found a thread.

But I don't want to know how the Backup Helicopter works,I want to know if someone else ever used it.

 

And If I would have posted in that old Thread,you would have accused me of reanimating an old Thread...
