Max speed

I've had a search but can't find a thread if its been created, i've seen a lot of people say they've maxxed out adders etc but not seen anyone say where they've done it or what mods etc, so far my max is just under 140mph in a comet, been trying with a few different cars but no luck.

 

What would people say are the top 10 max speed cars?

Top speed doesn't really exist in GTA. If cars hit their top speeds as advertised in the game, we would be moving so fast the game wouldn't keep up, and fail to load textures in front of the player. Top speed is limited to appr. 100 mph so the world stays in check with player speed.

Yeah the top speed stats lie, which is really dumb if you ask me.

There should be a 50mph gap between the fastest sports car and the fastest super car. Its a shame it isn't actually there.

According to game values, the highest vehicle speed is 160mph (not counting wheeling bikes), which belongs to the Adder. Maxing out its stats (e.g. acceleration) in LSC will help you get closer to that theoretical maximum, but it won't be easy. You'll need a very long, deserted stretch of road, with little or no traffic. This is why most people's 'max speed' stat is achieved in races where traffic is turned off, and with the help of slipstreaming.

 

Edit:

Realistically, about the fastest speed you can genuinely achieve in a land vehicle is ~180mph in a wheeling Bati; and that'll only happen in a "Long Haul" type race without traffic and with slipstreaming. Anything over that is glitched.

i think due to lag... all the speeds in the game are screwed up.

 

i find it tough to believe the entity can just keep up with the ford f150 truck (dont know the name of the in-game truck)

ive seen this several times where im cruising with a player in free roam and can barely pass them in much slower vehicles...

Can't explain mine either. Only thing I ever recall doing with it was a long tour around the outskirts of the map in a Solo Session. Has never been in a race. Previous was around 143mph or so in my XF.

Gate glitch is great, mine is 340,000 odd in a bloody Firetruck.

 

At the time it was the #43 fastest time on GTA5stats.com haha
