Never used 2nd character, someone give me a reason.

If you're level 120, you've got your ten chradders, platinum minigun and Pogo mask, you may want to start another character to do it all again.

I have two characters, both level +130

At first I created the second for farming purposes (so I can sold two cars every 48 minutes), but when the first character arrived at level 120 I started playing whit the second.

And if they open more slots will start a new one.

That GTA-Freak 'person' (quotes confuse me... you're saying he's not a person?) doesn't deserve your abuse, nor does he owe you an explanation, but to clarify it is his favourite artist (although I have to disagree.. each to their own)

People use a 2nd character usually when they reach level 120 as this is the last level you unlock stuff (last thing being the minigun) and usually have tons of money to spare. Both characters share the same bank account meaning if you have a 2nd character you'll unlock things and already have the money to buy it. Some want more cars, a new garage location, different sex for clothes and just have a purpose of leveling up. Also, when you're a level 10, you can troll people in lobbies like ask the host to change the radio station or ask if anyone got the new Beach Bum DLC.

For the profile pictures, I say there needs to be more shemale love going on. But yeah, users like girls. I guess you don't fancy those?

Level 150 actually. I have never owned an Adder online, had two with each character during single player and got bored of it. I did try the SP-MP glitch with one though and failed lol to much hassle with the poorly put together video I watched. Plus I only just bought the minigun two days ago (actually got it in a special crate [only the 5th/6th s.crate ive ever seen], bought the pink paint and now I own it forever, nice way to save 40k).

 

I love sexy females but I don't feel the need to use them as my profile picture, I don't think I'll ever understand most the folks on here anyway

The main reason would be to play as a different gender or maybe role play a different personality on that character. You could have the one normal character and the second a sadistic, evil maniac.

 

You could also put restrictions on your second character, my second character was restricted to a Sawed-off Shotgun, Uzi and AK-47 and was having fun before I stopped playing her for reasons listed below.

 

There are a lot of annoying things when starting over. The main one being that it can be difficult to find people to do missions with, even other lower levels snub some of the missions in favor of a Coveted or Rooftop Rumble invite or hope to get one by using phone-> Contact Mission. A lot of the activities are also dead, something Rockstar needs to rectify. For example they could bump up survival payout and increasing payouts/RP in certain activities or run more events to make them more active.

 

Another annoying hindrance is that you have to unlock all the car mods again on a second character, not always easy with the demolition derby nature of racing in this game and custom vehicles. You could always mod a car up on the first character and get someone you trust to transfer it over for you but that may or may not be possible in your case.

 

At the end of the day you will either have that desire to start a new character or you won't.

second char can boost your assets , as respective char can sell car , simulatelously every 1 hour / 48 min in real time . which means it double your hour car thief assets ( e.g selling 2 ballers gives 18 grand )

second character is good if...

 

1- you were around during the billionaire days and bought 10 adders before the money purge.

 

2- if you feel like being a troll, deposit the money from your main character on your 2nd and go around destroying cars while holding no money, so you pay no insurance.

 

3- if you have reached level 120 and already own everything, you can start again.

My second character is a female for a breath of fresh air. Pros are that you've got a completely separate garage and have to grind back up from the bottom again(Like the challenge). Cons are that you constantly get PMs saying "You're hot!!" or asking me if I'm a girl if the mics off and when the mics turned on it's all "your a tranny" or "your a closet homo"

e.g. I got picked up by random player online when my mic was off, set a way-point to take me to Trevor's Air Base(+5 miles distance). Turned the mic on to say thanks to the guy for the lift. He hit the brakes, got out and sticky bombed his own custom car. Blew us to smithereens then proceeded to PM me stating I was a "Tranny"

 

True story.

And apparently if you stay idle in a bikini, random strangers will pick you up in a cargo truck and attempt weird experiments with you.

Well, my 1st character has a 10 car garage with 10 cars inside including supercars and suff. Level 78 character. I played with him before all the payout nerf and stuff. I played the legit way with him, no glitches or anything. Game got boring VERY fast. Recently during free XBL weekend I started up a new character to see how it is to just start the game. It wasn`t as bad as people make it. Sure payouts are not as big as they were, but within the free weekend I already made enough cash for a 10 car garage.

I personally just use my 1st character slot only as I still have stuff to buy with that character and I'm level 181. I stopped playing for rank at level 120 and play game modes for money only.

What use would they get beyond cruising? Well... Its not hard to unlock anything if you race or actually play the game. I got a lvl 165 and a lvl 149. I never grinded a damn thing. Grinding? What the hell is that..lol?

Brilliant, I guess I actually haven't been playing, then.

I created my second character to store my adder bonds, but then just started playing with her instead of my level 200+ main.

 

Benefits:

1. Differernt dialog/clothing etc.

2. She is less if a target. (people seemed to pick fights with my main: bounties, muggers, mercs, etc)

3. More garage space

4. Some of my friends started late, so starting a new char put me on a more level playing field with them

5. Stash all the $ with my now unused main

6. Sell 2 cars every 48 mins

 

... There are many benefits to having a second character. The real question is "why shouldn't I start a new character?" If you hate the "grind" as many do then don't bother. But if leveling up is just a consiquence of playing the game, then it is never a grind.

2nd character has seperate timing for selling LSC cars and Simeon list. This means you can sell a car to LSC, maybe get a car for Simeon (once level 8 achieved), bank it and then go cause mayhem on your main character.

 

I use the 2 slot garage that's close to the LSC in East Los Santos and store any $5k+ car I can, so I can max out profits if junkers are on the street.
