What do the different license plates represent?

Being from Australia I have no idea whether the plates are meant to replicate areas of cali/the states or from different times .. or both?

Ahh, i feel kind of dumb now putting black license plates on all my new cars, cause in Australia, there are exclusive license plates examples

Well in Sydney anyway

was-yellow.jpg

These are the older generic license plates from like the 50's - 2006 i think.

These are newer from 2000- now although more rare though this one pictured above is a really rare plate that was only sold for a year or 2.

These seem to be the newest look though the black and white started on luxury cars generically as well as black and gold though can still be bought today on any car , the coloured ones are more the customized ones around today, anyway that was a quick history recap from what i can remember full information on them is at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Australia , there are many more types but i am not going to go through them.

I always put the Black plate on my cars on V because I have many black cars.

I have to say NSW, AU has some of the best variety of plates available. Not sure compared to other Australian states.

If you can't find a plate there that you like or match to your car, then there is no pleasing you.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder how would be the European license plates if they were changed to the American style one, with different graphics and sh*t.

I'm liking that Blue on Black that NSW AUS has, that looks great. In the UK we're stuck with this bland crap until 2051!!!

I think it says a statement and sadly wha class your in, i know when one of my family members put the black and gold on there Mercedes and took the white ones off, it made the car look even more expensive strangely enough and $275 for the black and white, i am so glad that we have them on our car, might as well just get the gold and black.

Edit- found a black and gold plate sorry for the large photo 10003809_636105736460580_1591314415_o.jp

The standard NSW plate is similar colours to that. Looks terrible, the yellow clashes with almost every car colour.

My 300c had one when I bought it, and it ruined it. Only took a few weeks till I ordered the black plate with metallic silver letters. So much better.

Sorry but this is the only picture of my (old) car with that plate online. Not the best shot.

Got to get yourself a Holden , but I was looking at few 300C but the MYOB or something class I can't remember now was mid last year, I ended up talking myself out of buying one as my BMW I once had when I blew it up cost me way more cash to fix for what it was worth and I had to sell for. So me and mate ended up going for an SS & HSV Senator. This is an old photo since done modifications with new wheels, lowered, engine and computer boost, nothing too extreme to make them illegal or cop attraction.

Grange is nice too, I had a view on them for awhile but couldn't come across one in black. All silver, grey or golden brown. I think it might be how you treat them euro cars I'm not sure but if never have problems it's great because they look nice standard or when people put work into them. Seen a Audi in Wollongong done up and sounded so sweet when it passed us.

Haha Wollongong my hometown, you must live close, i always put Sydney as my area because no one knows where Wollongong is, until now, i wouldn't trust wollongong dealers so much, My family know all of them and i nearly got tricked buying a 2001 S4 Audi from them, it was my 17yr old birthday present, now i'm gettng a 330ci convertible driving , yes a 17 yr old driving an S4 sounds crazy but it happens.
