They need to remove/revise passive mode?

I hate when I kill a twanker or a rooftop sniper and they respawn in passive mode and they don't remove it until they find a safe place (another tank/rooftop).

 

What do you think about passive/aggressive players?

If you can kill them once...just get yourself set up so you do it again. Specially if they have to go to the same predictable spot to stand a chance.

Passive mode should mean you can't be killed in anyway even by car or smothering with a tank.

Let's go with 5 minutes. One minute is just enough time to steal a car and get back to a tank spawn.

You need to understand that it doesnt make sense to make passive mode god mode without guns.If you steal a High Priority Vehicle with it enabled and no one can kill you and steal it,then it would negate completely the point of competition.Again,what if someone on Passive Mode is in a vehicle running over others and he cant be killed?GTAO is different from all the previous free modes R* made.It doesnt give you options to play with friendly fire on/off or cops on/off because R* wants players to kill themselves in Free Mode.HPVs,Armored Trucks,Bounties,crate drops.

Topic has been beat to death any enhancement to Passive has to come with restrictions on jumping in and out to prevent the griefers who are 99% of the users. The best suggestion I've seen is that Passive must be entered and exited from your apartment / garage. If R* does that then give them complete invincibility.

for the peace of mind against tankers and stuff like that what we need is ghost mode. in the pass you could go into passive and teleport if you got pinned by tankers, now we have nothing but switch server.

Passive mode should be fully passive, not part time passive. It should work in vehicles and on foot against being run over. Other than that, it's ok. It's sometimes fun messing with someone whilst going in and out of passive.

 

As a rule, if someone is in passive they want to be left alone so I leave them alone. Sadly most players don't have the intelligence required to understand this frightfully simple concept and seem to confuse GTA with Call of Doody.

You can use Passive mode effectively for your protection in many ways.

1.Stealing cars on Passive Mode doesnt get your bounties

2.Being inside a store with Passive Mode on makes sure you cant be killed by someone who shoots at the shopkeeper,making shopping disabled

3.While depositing in the bank,get to a higher surface

Passive mode is fine right now

If you make it that players on vehicles with Passive Mode cant be killed, everyone will be flying jets,buzzards and tanks on Passive Mode and it would be impossible to kill them.

Also,everyone would be stealing High Priority Vehicles on Passive Mode and not worry about getting killed and stolen which ruins the whole point

Passive mode is a joke!

 

If you're on foot on the street people will run over you with a car or tank.

If you're on a roof or something people will land a helicopter on you.

If you're in a car or something people will shoot you.

 

So it's pretty useless. All i basically does is turn your weapons of so you can't defend youre self.

 

Or you have to stay indoors, like you're garage or apartment. But again passive mode is basically useless.

The fact its that passive mode is used in the wrong way by annoying players, I don't know what's the point of killing people over and over but when you get killed go into passive. Not to mention that they never accept a 1vs1 dm

OP, passive mode really grinds my gears, it dilutes pseudo realism, it's use is killzoned (miss used) and, it harbors an aura of cowardliness. I've advocated hardcore mode as an alternative for months but only a spartan few have indicated any interest. C'est la vie.

Haha I was getting griefed hard by two dudes in tanks and their buddies in various aerial vehicles. Oddly enough I actually had a really fun time. Sure I didn't destroy both of them and uproot them from their power, but I had a lot of fun having to think on my toes and be evasive (& aggressive if the opportunity opens up).

OT: When I see that I just take it as the lamest of the lame copouts. There is no honor in doing that and the offender will permanently be labeled as a bitch in my book.

Lately when I see a tank I follow him around with the fire truck, most blow me up because they're morons but a few smart ones realize we're an unstoppable pair!

Remove it! The intention was good but its a joke the way its used. By tankdrivers and to taunt and as a part of tactics in combat going in and out of passive.

I've said it before. Passive mode can largely stay as it is, BUT, make it so that....

 

1. Passive players are invisible on the map to everyone except friends and crew.

2. In turn, everyone is invisible to Passive players, except friends and crew.

3. Passive cannot be activated unless you are a certain distance away from other players (to prevent griefers from locating a player, entering passive and then attacking that player, knowing they are invisible).

4. Entering Passive mode from the kill screen automatically teleports you the required distance away.

5. If a Passive player STILL manages to kill another player with all these rules in place, Passive is disabled for that player for 1 real hour (preferably 24 hours). In addition, a 9k bounty is placed on that player, and it will only go away when that player is killed (it cannot be survived).

7. Killing a Passive player forces YOU into Passive mode for 48 minutes.

 

8. Passive players can't collect the high priority vehicle, start gang attacks, or shoot from their vehicle.
