Fix the "Speed Lag"

I have had this happen when I am racing and the game lags, then I see the person behind me appear a mile down the road? I don't remember this happening in GTA 4.

that's not the game i think.. sounds more like a short connection failiure

I can't imagine this not happening in any game unless there were specific measures taken to keep those lag effects from happening.

I feel like the only way to fix that would be to force everybody to get decent internet.
