So many threads and posts here try to tell us we are making bad decisions in GTAO. What we want to wear, what we want to drive, how we want to look, and how we want to play. If we don't do it a certain way, then something is wrong with us. Apparently, freedom of expression is no longer acceptable and we must fall in line with the rest or face scrutiny, stereo types, discrimination, prejudice, and abuse for exercising our right to make our own choices. Choices such as wearing masks, using chrome, and driving super cars make us some kind of monster in the eyes of the Nazi's who would have you fall in line with their ranks and do what they do. Immature attempts to dictate fascist opinions in this community make me sick. To think that human beings can still be so ignorant, reminds me of all the history that humanity has gone through.

 

I believe people should be allowed to make their own choices without having to face slander and abuse for them. I am an individual who thinks for myself, and the hive mind feels threatened by this. Individuals in the collective would not feel safe without the comfort of their brothers and sisters who do exactly as they do. Any outsider threatens that, and must be assimilated or destroyed. If you're not with us, then you're against us. Resistance is futile!

This is an interesting topic. In a way, we are acting like the Borg collective as a single mind. All this hate on chrome caused me to hate whereas when I first got the game, I didn't give it second thought. We're slowly losing our individuality by doing this. I agree with you. Now I'm a fascist.

On a serious note I'll pose this to you: how do we as people go about making educated decisions and better yet, what quantifies it as that, "educated"?

 

- We experiment

- We gain experience

- We gain knowledge

- We seek to ask others who may or may not have more experience and knowledge

 

It's a process.

 

Those that pose the questions of "herp which chrome is better???" are drones.

 

Those that pose questions of mechanics seek to learn for themselves by weighing what others tell them (as truth or fiction) and applying it.

 

Those that may ask about color want constructive criticism by those with fresh eyes.

 

But really. You're taking this far too seriously. GTA isn't some holy war and we all have opinions on what is good, looks good and feels good. Not everyone is going to conform and not everyone is going to play nice. Welcome now to the human race.

To be honest, chrome is for attention grabbers. They have the same purpose as civics do with their Extreme Dimensions Invader II bodykit.

I already stated that fascism is more than just history. It's a political ideal, and some minds think in very fascist ways. Just because the word has a dark history, doesn't mean it is retired from the dictionary.
