Semi-auto pistols need a buff

I like using any pistol except the AP Pistol for fun but you don't stand a chance against weapons such as the Carbine Rifle or Assault Shotgun unless you get a headshot on the first shot.

I agree. Try running and gunning with them while strafing side to side though, makes you harder to hit and the pistols much more effective.

Dual wielding pistols would be awesome, especially if you could have a different one in each hand.

I hope they buff the crowbar as well. At the moment, it is impossible to use it against a minigun. Perhaps it could fire a lazer?

The Heavy Pistol works fine against AI with assault rifles.

 

It's only problematic if you're using it against another player, where in that case, you're stupid for doing so.

They're useless against pretty much every single other weapon class.

SMGs, shotguns in long range, and all weapons can go toe-to-toe with an RPG unless you really are a bad shot.
