Which cars from each class launch the hardest from a dig?

Pretty much what title says. In free roam if you control the throttle properly while holding the hand brake etc. you can get a better launch than holding the gas down or not at all.

Randomly popped up in my head and wondered what peoples opinions were.

FIretruck

True, but you have to point the nozzle at the back and blast water for turbostart.

The banshee does have that low speed brake boost, but the voltic's acceleration would still probably beat it off the line

What is a "dig"? OP, be more descriptive for all your non NASCAR-fan readers...

Wow... This is the by far the most stupid comment I have read on gtaForums in a long time. Dig has nothing to do with NASCAR, its a street race term when the tires grab onto the road and there is no slipping. Sometimes if you watch drag racing you'll see the fat tires in the rear actually "DIG" up the rubber from the ground because there is so much grab on it.

ALSO there is Dig racing (Start from a complete stop). You should look it up. Google is your friend instead of having everything spoon fed to you.

Somebody got a little offended lol. Calm down there, he was just saying he didn't know the term or its origins in this context.

Damn, most stupid comment? I think you have been reading something different entirely. NASCAR is f*cking dag racing with left turns included. Sorry I don't have memorized every specific "sports" phrase ever.

Now define for me the infield fly-rule as I laugh at you.

I'd say the Elegy is one of the best from a dig, If you launch it just right, it blows the doors off of everything. In car meet servers when everyone drags at Trevor's airport, 9 out of 10 times I won against fully modded Turismos simply because of how hard it can launch. It also gives everyone a shock haha

I didn't get offended and I am calm. You shouldn't take everything you read on the internet to be someone yelling at the top of their lungs. I was just putting out there my opinion based on the facts this guy shown me. He is lazy and knows nothing about cars.

First of all, NASCAR has nothing to do with Dig racing, NASCAR starts from a rolling start, not a dig. And dig is not a "sports" phrase considering it is used most for illegal street racing. I laugh at your attempt to be cool and bash on people who enjoy sports that you do not. Next I suggest you do your own research before spewing out idiocy for others to read.

What is your issue? I never mocked anyone for enjoying anything. I f*cking LOVE Star Trek, so I have learned long ago "to each his own". You are so involved in the microcosm of whatever the f*ck you want to call racing that you think knowing the difference between "dig" and NASCAR should be obvious to everyone. You are worse than the worst Star Trek nerd "Did you hear him call Worf's knife a Bat'leth?? What a maroon! Everyone knows the knife is a Da'ting, and the sword is the bat'leth. He must be mentally retarded."

No sir, you are just a jerk.

You verbally attacked him by calling his comment stupid. That is aggressive no matter how you put it. But whatever, semantics shmantics. One is not lazy for not knowing about a certain niche. You're being more presumptuous than me right now....

Lol^^

Sultan and Jester would be good also as they are both awd but the Elegy is the best bet.

Definitely not the Futo.

The Adder is pretty good at this. Shame you can't use it in races though. Well you can but, there's no point.

A dig means starting a race from a standstill compared to a rolling start where the vehicle is already moving. Generally most people prefer a dig start as they say it demonstrates how fast it can get to top speed as well as the low end torque curve.

Holy crap you're dense. As simple as NASCAR is, it could not be farther removed from drag racing.

On topic, I think the Voltic or Infernus.

You come to a thread with a term you know nothing about, automatically assumed this was a NASCAR thing(that you proceeded to make fun of by just sayings its drag racing with left turns) and was making others explain it to you since "you arn't a NASCAR fan". I also find it annoying that you TOLD op to be more "descriptive" when he was fine enough with his wording that many understood just fine. This is where people like you get annoying. Just google the sh*t. I mean is it that hard to simply go to google and type in "car term dig"??? I mean seriously just type that in and there are over 10 results with the specific answer. If you don't know something, leave it alone or figure it out yourself. Don't bash others pinpointing certain group of people trying to be cool.

Now you're spewing off about Star Trek in a vehicle related topic. I'm just going to quote what you said "He must be mentally retarded." Just remember, you said that yourself.

I said his comment was stupid. Saying a stupid comment doesn't always make one stupid, but it very could mean he is stupid. Other than that, he took the offense and attacked NASCAR fans because he didn't know a certain terminology about racing. He very well could've avoided this issue and also not have been lazy by simply looking it up on google. sh*t, all he had to do is this HERE. Simple as that. TBH, you're just as aggressive as you make me out to be due to you responding to me. I find it very aggressive of you to do so when you could've just reported. See what I did there? Anyone can be aggressive on the internet if you call them aggressive.

I just assumed "dig" was some racing slang I didn't know from the UK or somewhere. But, I am really glad I didn't ask about it now.

If you launch the Elegy RH8 properly, it can launch almost like a real GTR. It bolts off the line at ludicrous speeds and usually I leave people in awe as I whoop their supercar in a drag race.

Lol yep. Turns out its what most of the world just calls 'racing'. And definitely NOT drag racing with corners (edit) and a rolling start...

The sad part is, even if you launched properly with said supercars too, the Elegy would put up a good fight, but it shouldn't at all.

I really wish there was a noticeable difference between the speed of the supers and sports cars, like it says there is on the Legendary Motorsport site, but they're all lies :(
