It is not a new thing. It has been that way since an early patch. It is complete horsesh*t, I agree, but the twankers whined about people trying to run their cars into their tanks.

People were ruining Tank users fun by actually giving them bad sport points for destroying peoples PVs. Thankfully, R* fixed that. It actually may have stopped people from using Tanks and we wouldn't want that.

 

Hopefully in future they remove the $500 dollar hospital fee for passive mode users soon too. It just wouldn't be fair to tank users.

Well normally you get your car blown up once, pay it and next 600 times you get blown to scraps the tank retard pays it. Now i gotta pay all 601 times for my car

 

R* is supporting tanks more and more, why not make an option that people get bad sport points when they happen to get blown up? Yeah why not?

A simple way to solve this would be to charge the player responsible everytime they blow up a personal vehicle REGARDLESS of their finances, if they don't have any cash then the game should charge them anyway and put them into debt/negative money value, and if your in debt more than say -$50,000 you get dumped in the BS lobby.

 

 

Can't say I've ever really had this problem though, I never run into tanks...

Its all to blame on the community it self. They started griefing tank drivers to BS by jamming PV's underneath them even if they didn't harm anyone. So they patch that stuff up. Then players instead of getting their own tank/jet started doing the sniper glitch, exploiting the drawing distance of models and that gets patched also.

there was nothing wrong with the tank sniping honestly. Only way to take on tanks

My Infernus was blown up yesterday and the pop-up said he paid and my side of it said "free" but the tank driver claimed he paid nothing. Not sure if he was bluffing or dumped his money into another character or if he just has millions of dollars from the current glitches.

 

He was a level 45 in a tank, so...

i tested somethings with my crew.

imagine a gang attack red circle.. when you enter these perimeters you trigger the gang attack.

same with tanks..

when you are inside a certain distance within the perimeter of a tank and get blown up you pay your own insurance costs.

when you drive away out of that perimeter and get blown up tank driver pays your insurance costs.

with other words.. stay away from tanks with your pv's :-)

I think this is right or is close to being right. I noticed when bounty hunting with my tank yesterday that blowing up people after they hit my tank I got no bad sport warning and didnt have to pay but if I shot a PV from a distance I had to pay and got bs pop ups. It might just be a radius too but I didnt shoot unless they hit me, so idk how big the radius is.

They can't please two lots of people at once. If tank users had to pay each time, then yes people will drive their PVs into it constantly even if the tank isnt shooting players.

 

If you don't want to get shot by a tank in your PV, don't drive near it and have to pay your own insurance. Simples.

 

Also, the radius thing could be true. I was driving around shooting cops with 5 stars and a player drove through the middle of them and got blown up with me paying the insurance.

 

I was then just cruising with some kid and he stopped and got out and started shooting me with rockets so I shot him and didn't get charged for his insurance.
