Peaceful Tank Driver

I enjoy driving around in a tank. But (PLOT TWIST) I don't kill anyone, I just follow them and watch them.

 

You see, when most logical people in GTA see a tank they think: "Great. This guy is about to blast me."

 

BUT, instead of just taking the free kills, I get to watch in amusement as they try to run away, wetting themselves. I consider this an MLG level of griefing, because if I wanted to, I could easily just kill them. It really messes with people heads when I just sit there with my turret pointed at them, but don't shoot.

 

Does anyone else do this? or am I just weird?

Yes and I'll honk the horn at them and flash headlights on and off. Then of course either one dumbass starts firing at me or one smartass tries sneaking up and stealing my tank.

Either way things usually don't remain peaceful for long, somebody makes themselves a target.

I do the same thing. I will only be looking for 1 person or just having fun with cops. I never blast random people.

I do this when I'm bored sometimes, just stand there and watch them trying to get away lmao - they usually end up trying to take the tank from me though.

Some might think its weird but I don't. If driving around in a slow ass tank across LS gets you moist from scaring other players without griefing on them, then suit yourself

Generally some are fighting, so, peacekeeper mission.. well not really, but when they see the tank they tend to run away is different directions, sometimes in passive mode.

This, so many times there is a guy, high level, attacking low levels one by one froman Entity often, then he come for you, but what he don't know is that around the corner there is a big canon waiting for him lol

must admit I do that too OP. I turn lvl 70 at start of the week and so far I've only killed 4 bounties and had tons of 5 star fights with cops. I havent killed a white dot yet. I prefer to watch them run off confused lol. The odd one that has tried to blow me up or get in i've just moved on to the next white dot lol.

Yea,i know right?You are in your tank away from the others,then you see the guy approaching you on the radar,you hide around a corner with your tank,he shows up,sees you in the tank with the cannon aimed at him,he panickes and crashes into cars as he is trying to get away from you ASAP!

Back when we had the invincibility glitch (you can't kill me, I can't kill you), my friend use to drive around shooting people. The responses over the mic when they didn't die was epic.

 

On topic: I had a guy in PM in a tank driving towards me earlier so I drove up to the top of a parking garage. He text' me saying i'm not going to kill you i'm just driving around. I was like He begins driving to the top of the parking garage I just happen to be on and then goes OTR. Two other players end up driving into the garage only to be blown up. He then text' me saying that they shot first lol.

 

I see tank. I run from tank. I come back in BAC and blow tank up.

Dude,dont get me wrong.No one likes griefing but the tank is a masterpiece.I dont want them removed.I just want more effective ways to combat them.I take it out sometimes just to look at it.

I've done this, usually just drive up to people, honk my horn out of friendliness etc. Usually I end up getting fired upon or my tank stolen if I'm not paying attention too closely.

your not weird fella, I used to do it all the time. The amount of low levels that try to take you on is amusing, I remember when bad sport only took 3 cars and I felt like I was prancing around like a ballerina.

I rarely bring the tank out, but when I do, I never kill random people - just do Gang Attacks, cruise around for a little while or go on the odd cop rampage.

 

I don't follow people either - that's just creepy.

i like to recreate that moment when that guy in real life stole a tank in LA. other then that my tank is for people who like to kill me over and over when im in passive. or if another tank comes out. ill end the fight with mine with an off the radar attack..japanese..pearl harbor stlye attack.

have used my tank like twice since the billionaire days. it's kinda one dimensional, so i get bored of it quick. plus, no one should ever trust a tank. if you find one nice tank driver, great, but don't expect the next one to come bearing peace. not everyone in a tank is getting off on the mixed drug of indestructible power and acting like some morally superior hero, some of em just get off on killing you. the tank is a sad vehicle compared to the lazer imho.

I used to do that with helicopters in GTA IV. I thought it was interesting to just hover over people and watch them.

Rolled past a guy with a mini-gun once, had it trained on me as I went right past. Brave SOB, looked like he was ready to stand his ground with that thing, but neither of us fired. I'm sure once I was gone has was thinking "wtf just happened"?

Lol I do this too, it's my version of passive mode since actual passive mode doesn't do jack for me.
