How bad is R* customer support?

If the Rockstar Cloud Services are unavailable, your character slots will be blank during a cloud outage but your characters have not been deleted. This is normal. Back out to Story Mode and re-enter GTA Online when Cloud servers are up again so your characters can load.
When exiting GTA Online, please pause the game and choose to return to Single Player. This will trigger a save and ensure that progress since the last auto-save is recorded. If you purchase items and immediately power the console off or exit through console system menus, those items may not be saved.

If you still believe you have experienced a loss of progress, please click Submit a Request at the top of this page and contact us. Be sure to provide:
Gamertag/PSN ID of affected account
Date/Time that the problem occurred

Detailed description of the problem (what is missing and how you know it's missing)
Kind regards

Give them a break. I'm sure they(Brian B) have gotten more than a million tickets since game release, it would be really complicated if the try to reply to everyone's problem

They are terrible, it's been over 2 months since i sent them a ticket and they still haven't replied

More like how bad if the OP's post?

 

I have had no problems with Rockstar support so far. You have to appreciate that there is not one person waiting for your support ticket. You are only one of thousands of tickets they have to get through and prioritise, many of which I dare say are for inconsequential crap.

 

The OP clearly has not dealt with too many customer support services. Different names ain't nothing.

It's not the worst, but it's pretty bad.

And I assume that there are bots 90% of the time because I only ever see like 3 responses from support, some of which have nothing to do with the ticket.

 

Not the WORDS, but it's pretty bad ATM.

I've been trying to get a license plate reset for 3 months. they keep telling me it can't be done, yet I see Brian B telling people he's done it for them. so yeah, Rockstar support sucks out loud.

Well have you seen how many tickets they get each day? Hundreds of thousands, so yeah I would say it's unlikely you'll get an instant reply from a human. I had to wait roughly four weeks for my plate reset.

Yeah that sounds about right. Every response they gave me when my character accidentally reset to rank 1 has been around one month apart. But someday I'll get my rank back :)

Shurod helped me yesterday, but it's some kind of bot right? Because right when I answered it sent me a message telling me to don't hesitate to contact them again etc etc.

 

Shurod reset my plate after like 3-4 days so I kinda like him anyway.

Support is awesome! There was a trouble with error "your current save file could not be loaded". Known issue for forums, but not for R*. I submitted a ticket on february 2nd, got response two days ago with nothing useful.

Same going on today: freezing issues since last patch and Brian B responding like it's hardware fault. Both on PS3 and box. At the same time.

 

My opinion, this topic should be pinned.

Sent R* a ticket about my DLC's disapearing all the time. I have sent it at 16 februari...still got no response

well i have been in a constant battle with R* support over my bad sport timer being stuck, while they still havent solved my issue, everytime i send a reply in my ticket they respond back within 3-4 days, which is a decent time considering the amount of tickets they should receive on a daily basis.

It all depends on the issue. If you are complaining about server errors, anything on their end, or general questions it will take forever. If you are reporting cheaters it takes as little as three days. That is until they give you the personal banhammer email sub account. Then they reply in 24 hours.

i've used rockstar support before about 4 times and the last time involved getting gifted an insane amount if money (which was most likely glitched) they removed it pretty quickly.

The only thing worse than Rockstar Support is being on the highway far from a gas station when you had 10 burritos, a coffee, you're sick, and you have the runs and its a really bumpy road.

Take two did say they were looking at improving the support, I suspect they underestimated just how many tickets they would receive and are completely swamped, this is why a lot of the time they just give out an automated response. I also don't think there ticketing system is that Good as tickets seem to get left unanswered, they should be flagged if not responded to within afew days
