Whenever you try to host a deathmatch with at least 14 players it's almost impossibly every time. Cause people don't want to wait for 5 minutes. I just left a hosting on for about 7 minutes and when i came back no one had join but 19(!!!) people had joined and left during that time...What the **** is wrong with you? Have some god d*mn patient.

You're off your rocker or I'm blessed....I always join near full DM lobbies.

Living in the US has it's perks I guess.

Although, try not to host user created content...people tend to avoid it like the plague.

My problem is that the low levels suck & that there are a lot of idlers who either got stuck in the loo or are leeching wins, cash & rp at their team's expense.

A lot of people will quick join a deathmatch or race, see that it is user created, and leave. At least based on my observations anyway. Having said that, I also agree that people should be more patient when you are trying to fill out a lobby. Surely, in most cases, more players is better, no?

There should be a minimum time limit that you have to stay in that lobby before you can back out of it. That would solve everything.

No one wants to be the 2nd person in a job lobby. That looks like the job is never gonna get enough people. But if 3-4 people are in there, most people are happy to wait.

Depends on the race - I find technical tracks are actually better with fewer people.

Most people see that it is not Long Haul 2, Prison Thugz Fight or Jumps Jumps Jumps and run away. I guess you can't blame them, trying new things is scary! :p

When I join a deathmatch, once in a while I join a room that already has like 8-14 players in it.... that is why I leave rooms like the one you were hosting. I can join several different room within the 5 minutes you're asking me to wait for your room to start the match. Why would I do that when I can join another room already full of people ready to play within 5 minutes...???

Please use your brain.

Please no....I'd only play Prison Thugz Fight on DM's if that happened.

Nah, I feel you. Even then I think it depends on the length of a track, despite being technical or the roads that make up the race.

Oh god I hate hosts that just sit there doing nothing and refuse to start the game because they're so obsessed with getting a completely full lobby or are jerking off or say "brb in a minute gotta go to the bathroom" and then don't come back for liek 10 minutes. I determine on a case-by-case basis on whether it's worth it to wait in there depending on what it is and how many have joined.

You know sometimes they can't start the match. Two common reasons are:

  1. There's a minimum number required that hasn't been reached yet. A lot of deathmatches are minimum 8 players. If it's a playlist, the largest minimum number across all the jobs in that playlist becomes the minimum number for all jobs on the list.
  2. They can't start a match whilst someone is in the process of joining. When "Joining" appears next to a players name in red. This often causes a seemingly never ending loop when the timer runs out as people leave whilst that last player is joining, then another will join in their place. So you constantly have someone "joining".

I value my time, and there is already an awful amount of time spent in loading + voting screens and such. As I mentioned in another thread, I am finding that you spend more time in loading + voting screens and in the lobby than actually playing the game.

Quit trying for a full lobby and just start the damn game.

I have ADD, hate it when people drive me or fly me. Gotta do it myself. I do often change my mind on my way to a destination though, don't take my pills because of bad side effects.

I read the whole thing and had a very intelligent reply all thought out, but then I saw something shiny and got distracted, and forgot what I was going to write. :p

And, the whole lobby concept for joining jobs is utterly ill conceived. If this is the bold new direction, it's breathtakingly screwed up. What can't they have a job lobby browser instead of joining a quick job and getting a horrible surprise 98% of the time. Actually, I suppose if it happens 98% of the time, that's not really a surprise. :colgate: But you get the idea. I am almost always disappointed with both the quick jobs and the voting screen for next job. So I never do them any more.

Thank goodness Rockstar now lets us choose jobs from a list. For people who do solo jobs like me, it's great. But I am sure that only about 2% of hosted jobs ever actually get joined, so that list does not work for people who want to host.

Most of the hosts are idiots, they want a full lobby with the timer set to 10 minutes, and the kill count set to 10, and believe me that's allot of them. As far as user created ones, I avoid them like the plague. For every one or two decent ones you'll find, the rest of them have hidden Tanks or in some cases Lazers.

I don't understand how I can join a random race and there's a full lobby, I'm squeezing my way in between the slots to have my name in there.
But when I host a race, I gotta invite skill matched players, toggle auto-invite and play, open up the recent players list and click on their name, open up their own profile up, invite them to the game, send them a message promising a blowjob if they do, buy 40 cash cards, restart my Xbox, do 10 jumping jacks and then only one guy shows up....JOINING......JOINING.....JOINED....LEFT. GODDAMNIT!

It's super annoying how many people play this game but I've met no one. It's like I'm going to the biggest party in town only to hang out with the bum in the alley.

Lol, either you have your own rockstar server or you're a lying pice of sh*t. There is no f*cking way that you are able to join several rooms in 5 minutes. It's at least 1 minute of waiting to get back to your former session, then it's 1 minutre more loading time when you are connecting to another host. You may be able to go through 3 rooms at tops during that 5 minutes. Probably 2. And those are either with a noob that can't host. (play with 15 kill target, start a team DM with a odd number of players, having owned weapons choice on etc.)
