CrusherTroi
Would it be interesting to have random outbursts of severe weather? Such as earthquakes, tornadoes, etc? They could happen randomly and rarely, just not too much. What are your thoughts? And if this is a repeat thread, I'm sorry. I tried to search for it and I couldn't really find anything relating to severe weather. GunBrothersGaming
I don't think it would really have an effect enough on the game that it would be worth the time to put in. There is a mod that creates a Tsunami which is pretty cool. I enjoyed the flooding. I wouldn't mind a plague outbreak that turns an NPC to a zombie and starts an outbreak. Last person on the server to live wins the outbreak. KingRyujin-- and tjor24

muddeprived
Snow and heavy rain are useful weather types that affect the handling of vehicles so I can see them in the game but tornadoes, floods, hurricanes...nah. garyharry
DrewFly123
Earthquakes aren't weather. I think you mean natural disasters. And I feel like that would just f*ck things up. Zombie Mode would be dope though. CrusherTroi
CrusherTroi
would be funny as sh*t seeing players get struck by lightning The lightning could be attracted to tanks as well. One strike and the operator would be electrocuted. MysterBeefy, cunningstunt and NewBaltim0re

Cudwieser
Tempting, but no. Sorry for being a bit of a purist here, but Lightning goes for tall objects and tanks are just too low to the ground. As for torrential rain we already get it. Strong gales blowing up the boulevards would be fun, making handling tricky, blowing peds, dumpsters and street lights into your path. Maybe a medium to strong F1 Dust Devil in Senora every week or so as the sirocco blows through Zancudo (prime topography). Put a water spout in with it and we could have fun. Ron's wind farm is surely an indicator to the desert winds. KingRyujin-- and CrusherTroi

Strikeslip
An emergency warning description could be broadcast over all the radio stations, and you'd have 30 seconds to find appropriate shelter or DIE! CrusherTroi

freedomna
I support this. It adds to the environment and to be honest, I would love to watch a hurricane from my beach house. KingRyujin--
gtaocicat
i dnt think it would work because it would take alot to put that in a game.. and would cause lag if they could put snow everywhere and fog everywhere and heavy rain every where . i dont see why they couldnt just make it rain heavier with big winds CrusherTroi

Aaron030792
I can picture it right now.......running round in the Grand Senora. Trying to outrun someone chasing you...you stand still for a few seconds to check your map then BOOM......you get struck by lightning. Would love to see it implemented, just to hear people reactions when it first happened to them. The squeakers would go into a frenzy over their mics. T-Roc
I wouldn't mind them adding some occasional natural disasters in GTAO. But my biggest concern about weather in this game is the amount of rain, everytime I play GTAO it's raining in "sunny" California

MrCamo
This thread made me realize that the gta5 map is post earthquake, and that the earthquake made it into an island like the disaster movies.
T-Roc
This thread made me realize that the gta5 map is post earthquake, and that the earthquake made it into an island like the disaster movies. That is true, we were always lead to believe the entire state of California would break off into the ocean from the earthquakes; it turns out it was just Los Santos. The Online Gamer
I hope a huge lightning storm is added that destroys all adders and sets eclipse towers on fire...xD While everybody's house burns, I'll be sitting at alta, sipping wine and watching everyone burn to death Edited March 27, 2014 by The Online Gamer CrusherTroi

Ammunized
I thought they couldn't even add animals in the game...let alone severe weather lol But ya, the idea would be awesome. CrusherTroi
ThousandFangs
The idea would be good. Oddly enough, I flew a Mallard up to high altitude during a rainstorm, and the turbalance ended up ripping one of my wings off, and my flying skill is maxed. Definitely not a plane to fly when it is raining Captain_Obvio
