Which would you rather have if you had the choice for a second property? Assuming the mansion (house) only has room for 2 cars

 

I'd go with the 10 car garage

I'm pretty sure if you were to pay $750K - $1M for a MANSION you would get a big garage.

Who's to say the mansion doesn't have more than 10 slots?

 

On top of this, it is likely we will have multiple properties (due to property address in quick GPS) so we can get both

 

pointless thread even if mansions did exist

I didn't say anything about mansions or how they will work online or if they're gonna come with garage (but in this example I'm assuming they come with a 2 car garage)

 

I just asked what you'd rather have

If it's a mansion with only a 10-car garage, I'd rather have a second 10-car garage. I only use my apartment/garage for spectating players anyway.

The same thing that happens when someone in your session owns the same apartment. That wouldn't be a problem.

 

The problem is that 'mansions' have relatively small 2-4 car garages, so it would make virtually zero sense (and destroy the realism) to give them 10-20 car garage interiors. I suppose for players that just like to own 1-2 cars, they'll work fine, but for the rest of us who like an expanded, multi-class vehicle collection, they'd be useless, unless we're given the ability to buy every single one. But then we'd be just needlessly blowing millions on properties just to be able to own 2 more cars.

 

IMO, allowing us to just buy multiple existing properties (which by the looks of it is what R* is thinking of) would work much better, and preserve the gameplay. Either that, or a Pegasus-like 'storage' system for 'extra' vehicles.

Yeah I know I'm tired of seein 100,000 people in eclipse tower everytime I go in...oh wait no this is a game so they just put everyone in seperate houses

 

I'm pretty sure they're gonna give us a chance to buy a second garage and that's it overall

Yes they could work - but I don't think they're coming until/unless, when the game is released on PC the mod community can revamp it like SA;MP.

 

I don't think we're getting access to any mansions - that was all rumorville stuff... I don't even think they'd give us a second garage (or any additional properties) - I just don't see it happening ... I doubt they're even developing "heists" - I mean... this game made it's money already... Time to move on to Resident Evil 2014

I live at Weazel Plaza, and I really don't run into that many people going in and out of my garage. I know it's different with the Eclipse, but there may be a possible solution.

1. R* could flood the map per say with purchasable houses. If they added, let's say 25 houses, with most having a ten car garage then having multiple people living in the same house would be minimal. While it would work like apartments do now, I don't think it would be a common occurrence.

2. We know that R* can change the landscape via a patch. (Structure on the beach) R* could add larger garages to whatever houses they wanted in order to sell the visuals that they could hold ten cars.

I still have high hopes as this was never supposed to be a game that lasted a year

Because Mansions are coming in an update. And the ability to own more than one apt. I'm curious to know why it won't work?
