Starting again from scratch?

When I finished the main storyline I hated how each protag was swimming in $, it took so much away from the game in my opinion, yes I can buy fancy cars and military equipment but I'm not really 'into' that stuff. I like to play the game my own way, earn money doing jobs, I quite enjoyed the property jobs when they came about.

What I'm getting at is, if I start over from scratch, will I be able to just concentrate on one character i.e. Franklin (not too concerned in not playing with Trevor or Michael) and purchase property with him? Also what methods are available for me to begin earning enough money to buy said property? Sorry if this seems like rambling, I always struggle to get onto a forum what's in my head. Don't particularly want to be purchasing that many guns either, going to try the nice approach this time around. I'll also only be doing stranger missions and not any main storyline missions.

Anybody else done this? How did it work out for you?

Cheers guys!

Well I'm assuming by property you don't mean houses, because I don't think that's possible. But as for other investment property you just have to do whatever missions you can find on your map. The problem is that I think the way the game works is by putting new missions into the world as you progress through the main story. It kinda sucks. So at some point you'll have to play as michael of Trevor.

I get what you mean with having too much money at the end. I know it's all about heists and making huge scores, but the problem is that it piles it up on you all at once. most of the starting missions give you no money whatsoever, then suddenly you're given thousands.

The only way this game really works is if you make the massive amount of money during the story + stock market. and all three characters will make that money. .

Properties are more of a way to maintain your money rather than make it, and you can't buy every property with one character. You could possibly start making some money off properties if you don't buy weapons, clothes, tattoos, haircuts, car customizations. You also can't die or you'll lose $5000. But by the time you work your way up to purchasing the golf course, GTA VI will have been released, and you'd be insanely bored with doing it that way.

What about the Stranger missions? Do any of them reward you with $ ?

I think they do, but hardly enough. You usually get promised something like $1000 only to have them run of laughing, leaving you with only 100.

And at that point you run them over with your car.

My problem came from not being able to gamble. I need more money to buy the golf course.

Rob stores and money trucks, find the hidden briefcases underwater. A few random encounters have payouts - deal gone wrong and the mob daughter lift.

Didn't know you could rob stores/trucks in single player, cheers for the heads up!

I tried starting over, but my current file is at 91% and I don't want to get confused with what I have and haven't picked up yet. So my new file has just unlocked Michael.

If I want to pretend I'm poor, I just put my billions of dollars in the stock market. Then I go to LSC for a respray, and I'm like, "f*ck that poverty sh*t."
