iNero
Assassin's Creed: Unity was leaked last week together with Assassin's Creed: Comet. The guys from n3rdabl3.co.uk apparently got a foto which shows an unpublished forum post of an Ubisoft-Community-Manager which contains parts of an press statement for Comet. According to those info, the game is in development for 2 Years and will be released around November.Mentioned Plattforms are PS360 and the Next Gens. The protagonist is Eseosa who is the grandson of Adéwalé from Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry. Apparently Eseosa is searching for the help of Connor from AC3. Th3MaN1
Now wait a f*cking second. Unity is supposed to be a PS4/Xbone game, right? So why the f*ck is this game released for those platforms as well? Do they mean to release 2 different AC games on the same consoles? Th3MaN1
That's the problem. It's all about the money. I've known for a long time that games were created to make a huge money income, but this is going way too far. Problem is too many companies follow. Th3MaN1
What's the problem if Ubisoft wants to make a few extra bucks by having it on more consoles? One of the reasons BF4 was, and still is so bug full is because of all the platforms is was released upon. Well, one of the reasons. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this game and AC: Unity pretty much the same game but on different consoles?

I said partially. While porting to another console might not be that hard, releasing the same game for 5 different consoles surely made some clusterf*ck in all that coding which is causing the crashes. But mostly, yeah, it was EA that made the game a bug-fest, and sadly, I feel that they don't give much of a f*ck to fix them. But to keep on-topic, that picture is 100% of what I think Ubi is doing to AC. Let's hope that Far Cry doesn't end up the same way, because I feel the same is going to happen to Watch Dogs. Seriously, Ubi's got so quite some hate. Watch Dogs downgrade, along with exclusive PS stuff, which I find screwed up, then there's this. My god, are they trying to be EA #2? Zancudo
My gosh, people. You don't even know how is this going to work out, and you already start shouting: "they're milking the franchise, CoD#2!!!111". As far as I've seen, Unity is one of the very few games out there that we can actually call the true next-gen, and Comet is being made by a completely different team. Actually, every Assassin's Creed was made by different guys, in at least 2-3 year old period of development time, implementing at least one new aspect for the gameplay. So, why bitching? Because everyone's bitching? Or because of that one, unfortunate, buggish mess that was AC3? Edited March 26, 2014 by Zancudo

Just like CoD, AC doesn't bring anything new to the table gameplay wise, and I think this is one of the series that needs innovation to keep up. You have to admit, the pirate setting was the only reason AC 4 was a success, and the naval combat. You can' t deny fact, AC is milked. iNero
there is a difference between making the same mistakes over and over and improving it over and over. CoD gets worse with every game. AC already has a good idea ( by far not perfect ) why change something that isnt broken?

I guess we can expect a lot of new features from it. Not only graphics. Otherwise it would be pointless. There are quite a few features that are possible on next gen only. One example is the AI system from Shadow of mordor.
Shane_Dbns
Thought I would post this here (from my AC5 thread) Right now, all publishers are transitioning their development resources. For a game like Assassins Creed Black Flag, most of the sales are still going to be on current generation platforms. We cant make a version for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One thats so wildly different that we cant market them together. So, for now, developers and designers are focused on making a game that works really well on all of the systems but as we transition resources to the next gen, its going to be more difficult to do that because the power of these machines is going to allow so much more creativity. - Tony Key, Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing. AC is one of the only like maybe 30-40 open world games we're getting this year. Trust me they're are going to kick ass and I'm sure everyone here will buy them after watching a couple of gameplay vids. Who wouldn't want to play as adewales grandson? I'm black and I can't wait to finally have black protag who has his one story excluding adewale dlc.

Firefly8000
Well I for one want to see Connor's story continue actually. So you call it milking all you want. Why do people hate ACIII so much? Detective Phelps
Why do people hate ACIII so much? Desmond's ending, the one sided, 'Murica f*ck yea story, and Connor. I liked Connor's ending, though, because he learnt his lesson. He should have sided with the army his tribe sided with. My gosh, people. The series is getting milked very badly. Two games in one year? Wow. Ubisoft should give the series a break, and release on every two years instead. This "two AC games in one year" practice might also impact their other games, especially Watch_Dogs and the next Far Cry game. I might get Unity, when I get a PS4. But as for Comet, no way. I don't want to see dull old Connor again.
iNero
Yesterday, the French website GameBlog reported a number of details surrounding Comet and its story. A Redditor named GalakFyarr translated the article here. (Kotaku's Evan Narcisse used his French skills to verify GalakFyarr's translation, which looks about right.)GameBlog's report claims that Comet will take place in and around 1758; that it will star a sailor named Shay who betrays the captain of his ship; and that it's set on the Atlantic Ocean. Comet, GameBlog says, will continue the nautical theme established in last year's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. We haven't been able to confirm all of those plot details, and some of it appears to be speculation by GameBlog. But people familiar with Comet tell us that this fall's last-gen Assassin's Creed will indeed be set in North America and star a protagonist named Shay, who is a member of the Templars, the assassin-hating order that has traditionally served as primary antagonist in the Assassin's Creed games. We also hear that Comet will let you go to New York and do a great deal of sailing along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. One source describes the game as a cross between Assassin's Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin's Creed IV. Sources also say that Haytham Kenway and Adewalé will make appearances, among other returning AC characters. http://kotaku.com/sources-assassins-creed-comet-will-let-you-play-as-a-1552929846 So many rumors... BLOOD
This is a must read article (and dont forget to read the comments guys): http://m.ie.ign.com/articles/2014/03/28/ubisoft-would-be-very-stupid-not-to-make-yearly-assassins-creeds and here is the quote (for those who wouldnt bother clicking on the link) " In a recent interview with Edge, Ubisoft's vice president of creative Lionel Raynaud discussed the future of Assassin's Creed and the company's decision to continue supporting last-gen consoles. "We will have games for PS3 and 360 for this year and probably the years after," Raynaud said. "We want to be able to provide games to people who are playing on these consoles." This makes plenty of sense, of course, as there are around 160 million combined PS3s and Xbox 360s already in consumers' hands. That install base dwarfs the Xbox One's and PlayStation 4's numbers, though they've only been out since late 2013. Raynaud also spoke to Assassin's Creed's popularity, and the large number of new games in the series appearing on store shelves every year. "We are able to offer people a new Assassin's Creed every year because they want Assassin's Creed's every year. As long as this is true we would be very stupid not to satisfy this need, but it puts a lot of pressure on us to create something that will never disappoint. Ubisoft recently revealed Assassin's Creed Unity, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year."-IGN. Lol Ubisofts are f*cked Up lol. Niobium
-----AC AND GTA V SPOILERS BELOW----- Ubish*t destroyed a franchise. Why would they make an AC game EVERY YEAR? Oh wait, money of course. The stupid thing is they haven't ended the story when it just goes on forever. For f*ck's sake end the story already! Stop making it a drag. The AC 3 ending was terribad. Lucy's betrayal was forced. Desmond's death was forced about as much as Johnny K's. The gameplay is basically the same each game. Ugh, there's so many problems with this franchise. AC is f*cking ruined. Frankly, I even pirated AC 4 because of how ruined the franchise is. But I didn't even finish it because the gameplay was the same, I did not give a sh*t about naval warefare and the franchise's story is such a drag and won't end already. I hope Ezio assasinates the CEO of Ubish*t. Edited March 29, 2014 by nobum62 InfernoV
