Why is my outfit not saving on GTA Online?

I changed my character's clothing/hairstyle/face makeup etc recently just to get a new look. However, once I found a look that I liked, I entered into free roam, and got killed a little later. Once I respawned, I was no longer wearing the outfit that I chose, but rather jeans and a white T-shirt.

 

I tried changing it back and then repeated the process and as soon as I died and respawned, the outfit again reset to jeans and a t-shirt. My friend has also had this happen to them, but their character resets to a blue hoodie and sweat pants.

 

Does anybody know what is going on, and how to fix this problem so that I don't have to look so boring, or keep heading back to clothes stores to change back each time I die?

This is strange I've never seen or heard of it,, possibly a game save error, try reinstalling your game, good luck.

This sounds like a strange glitch, not sure if there is anything you can do about this other than create a new character (not recommended) or join a waiting list with an email to the terrible support team.

 

Speaking of clothes glitches, does anyone else have to change clothes in your apartment from where the wine bottle is? Thats where my new wardrobe is, in the wine bottle , am I the only one lol?

I know what you are talking about. I can change clothes from that spot in the upstairs. But I can also use the closet like normal as well. When I change clothes in the closet, I hover in midair for some reason..lol this game.
