  1. 1. Would you like to have more unlockables that have something to do with what you just achieved?

As it is now, almost everything you can unlock is only level based. Reach lvl 120, and you have almost everything. Just a few things you unlock that have nothing to do with your lvl:

Win 50 races and you unlock all other car mods....which is just stupidly easy.

Get x amount of player kills with a gun to unlock a color which you can hardly see.

Get some award to unlock a tattoo that no one sees.

My suggestion is to have unlockables which are hard to get, have a relevance to your completed task and/or can be shown off. Some may even be really hard to obtain...but that will give something to strive for. Also, unlockables shouldn't be totally OP in any PvP stuff.

There are already a lot of features in the game that could make this possible. It's too late for a lot of things as well because they have already been used.

I'll give some examples here, and maybe you can add to this!? They're just examples, mind you. I'm also taking into calculation that there are no ways to glitch these in known ways to me:

Complete all stunt jumps: Unlock an awesome bike

Complete all Knife flights: Unlock a plane

Complete all under the bridges: Unlock a chopper(seasparrow;)

Complete all gang attacks: Unlock gang cars

Get 600 PK's with weapon: Unlock crew color on weapon or something relative

Win 500 races: Unlock a cool car

Get 2000 kills in DM: Pimp cane shotgun(with same stats as assault sg)

Get 1000 player headshots: Unlock crew color on weapon or something relative

Completing all missions: Unlock 2nd apartment/garage

A lot of clothing (which you can actually see) or other suff could also be unlocked by winning x amount of races, getting x amount of PK headshots, killing x amount of cops, complete a survival without being killed, do a all headshot gang attack, etc. etc.

What are your thoughts? Would this make you enjoy and play the game more and longer?

I hate it when games give players rewards for abstaining from sunlight.

I'm all for giving achievements for certain difficult tasks, just not "get a certain number of x"

just promotes grinding, neglecting social and personal responsibilities, aint healthy

I think they should have retained the legend system from rdr and mp3. That made it feel like there was always something to unlock even though you didn't have to.

Reminds me of Halo 3s vidmaster for recon armor. Those were the good ole days.

I already see a flaw which is all those glitched levels where someone is level 487, they'll easily unlock everything in a flash. It's then gotta be something that doesn't give them an advantage over other players but still worthy of achieving. Your list is agreeable, I totally would do all knife flights online for a special plane or something that's cool like that. I disagree with the pimp cane shotgun. What is this, Saints Row 2?

It should be some fun stuff like the cane shotgun but I think minus 5% off vehicle mods or something like that would be a bit more worthy.
Good ideas, though. I'm not really sure what I'd prefer between a percentage off buying things or something nice like a special car. In most cases, in all the games I played that have special things, they usually suck.

At 200 you should unlock the ability to not have cool downs on sh*t like mercenaries and bounties

Everything under the AWARDS tab on Social Club should be award worthy. Even if it's in the form of wall-mounted items or trophies on shelves.

I just earned part of the sticky bomb award and I wouldn't mind seeing a golden block of C4 mounted on a trophy base. Or a car in mid-explosion like Burnout did.

Maybe proficiency plaques that have our kills from each weapon listed for others to see. Or battle records. The possibilities are endless.

Good idea Sagrawa they need to give more rewards to encourage people to do more in the gameworld, your idea would be a good start.

I also think if they did something similar to the uncharted 3 drop system aswell that could encourage people to get out of their comfort zone when it comes to playing different game modes. Basically by making killed players drop special coupons on rare occasions which you can use at certain stores to exchange for discounts and rare cosmetic items, but only certain game modes would drop certain coupons. They could even take it a step further and make pink slips really rare drops, official jobs that are currently deserted can give a better chance of dropping the best pink slips so players would spread across game modes better.

Oh, yeah, unlockables will be especially good if they further increase the dominance of the sunlight-deprived players over the low levels starting out, who are hopelessly disadvantaged already and are simple soft targets for the hundreds of thousands of high level sh*theads in the game. :*(

And same thing for races, let's make it even worse by increasing the advantages of performance unlocks so the low levels are completely shut out.

Well, that's Rockstar's approach, so I am sure they will do it. :p

R* Cash Cards...... All those platinum awards unlock tattoos.

Why would R* let us complete something and then let us unlock something that is actually cool? They want to save that stuff for DLC so they can sell Cash Cards...

It's all about the $$$... a.k.a. Cash Cards

That's a bit pointless if all multiplayer games would have "vanilla" things. So imagine GTA V multiplayer but with GTA IV economy (which is none). The point of owning property and cars would be null and while people can recreate your car or buy your house, you still feel some sort of ownership towards stuff you have.

But I mean you're right, tell R* to go away from the "be a player that works towards something like owning things and leveling up like any real games" and go more towards the "everyone is level 1 and we all use the same guns". God forbid if we use real bullets!

I'd like to get something other than tattoos that's for sure. Especially since nobody can actually see the damn things.

Unless they fix the tattoos (which is never going to happen, on current gen at least), the current award system will remain a joke.

I'd hate to have to grind and grind to unlock further items though.
