The first grief hackers have arrived.

I've just witnessed my first GTA Grief hacker, and holy sh*t this guy is f*cked up. I was just in a free roam session (still am as I'm typing this), and a gang of 3 people in adders kept attacking me, one never died when he was shot with an RPG, and although I was in free-aim it seemed like the could hit me no matter where i was.

 

But that's not the bad part. Eventually i got away and when i came back to the city, he was in an attack helicopter. I figured it would be a good idea to shoot it down, but even after hitting him countless times with heavy sniper-fire, and an rpg directly into it, it kept surviving 100% fine. Then he fired the machine guns... except each one was like a P-37 Lazer Jet machine gun round, and it kills everyone instantly on contact while he just hovers there. Spawn killing nearly 5 people in his vicinity.

 

Somehow modders/hackers have figured out a way to make the helicopter's machine gun rounds explosive, and it's going to be the end of GTA V, i swear.

 

His name is XxGR3MLIN-R4GExX, and i suspect i will see a lot more like him starting to pollute the game. I've reported him, and i suggest others do as well if they see him in a game.

 

*DISCLAIMER* I understand the difference between hacks and mods, and that most port-to-console programs are considered "mods", but when you alter the coding to then make helicopter rounds turn into Lazer rounds, that's what I'd consider a "hack" directly intending to ruin the game.

hackers have found a way to convert the machine guns of helicopters into explosive machine gun rounds on day 1? This is the first time I've seen a mod of that magnitude.

But of course, when i post about a modder using mods i've never witnessed before, that's the troll response they give me.

nearly all the "hackers" on this game are fools stupid enough to use their actual accounts after fondling with downloaded mods, after reading instructions that an actual hacker put up

It's the other way around; to hack the game, you (at least now) have to be using iso mods.

Dude i know what the fcking true difference is between modders and hackers, and that people who do anything with port to console programs are considered only "modders", but to me these kinds of mods where they completely alter the intended coding for the game could be considered a hack.

I'm on PS3 too, and I've never had these problems either until just now, which is why I've posted this in response to seeing it. Once these kinds of mods are released to the public and start to become used/get popular, it could spell the ruin for GTA O.

 

If Rockstar seriously wants to make GTA Online a plausible thing, they need to figure out how to prevent their games from getting modded so easily.

If Rockstar seriously wants to make GTA Online a plausible thing, they need to figure out how to prevent their games from getting modded so easily.

 

No developer can prevent their games being modded easily. It only depends on how popular the game is.

lol, magnitude? Really? So you think the billions of dollars, god mode, flying taxis that shoot rocket launcher rounds like gatlin cannons?

 

Hell, a helicopter shooting rockets is almost normal in comparison!
