Parachute on fire

Anyone had this happen yet? Happened to me a couple weeks ago but was too low to the ground to see what would happen over a good length of time and altitude?

as far as i know anything that slightly touch the parachute it cause it to disappear and you just fall to your dead.

i bought the black parachute, but it always appears to be rainbow color... is it a glitch, because i paid 20k for it, and it says in the ammunation that the black chute is equipped... why's that?

no it's always the same i think... but the parachute when it opens it should be black, right? there are 4 different colors or 5 not sure, (hornet, rainbow, black...) and smoke color... (which i wont use anymore because it looks like farting in the air lol )

If you bail out of the heli or plane your using that vehicles chute. If you base jump you'll use the one you buy at ammunation.

I'm not positive but I've noticed that its not the chute I bought, after jumping out of a plane.

if the parachute takes enough damage it just disappears, assuming the fire would wreck it also

Makes sense yes. One thing to prevent this though could be to have a parachute bought before entering a plane.

Yep I also thought the Backpack color would change too. Sadly it's still that pinkish color. When you equip the chute on your backpack it looks good to cosplay as a solider.

Yes. On fire. My heli exploded next to me and the side of the canopy was on fire. I was pretty low so it only took about 10 seconds or so to land. I was bummed that i wasnt higher to see what would happen. I havent had it happen since and its pretty hard to re-create obviously. Still curious if anyone has experienced this??
